Dr. David Kmak, MD

Dr. Kmak and his office was recommended to me after some months of terrible abdominal pain and having had an endometrial mass removed. I got in to see him and felt optimistic about getting better. He put me on a medication that was absolutely awful and said if I didn’t feel better in a month to come back and see him. The medication was so bad I only lasted about 2 weeks on it. When I went back, he put me on another medication that I never ended up getting. Long story short, after many calls to insurance and his office, the office never responded to the insurance company and I went without another possible source of relief. The last time I saw Dr. kmak, he was dismissive of my symptoms even though they were daily and quite severe. I ended up making a complaint to the office manager. Fast forward- I had a lap. Done and I have severe adeno, had multiple cysts removed and significant endo. New doctor recommended hysterectomy after I recover from this lap. Not impressed with kmak

I had an excellent experience under Dr. Kmak's care.

When seeing Dr. Kmak he looked over my chart and then came in with all answers he thought was wrong with me. I then tried my best to explain to him why I was in his office and he continued to speak over me with all his answers. When calling his office to ask question it takes over 24 hours for someone to get back to me. This man does not listen to his patients and needs to have some training around being patient centered. Last but not less when listening to my babies heart beat he never allowed me to hear and stated he's fine. I will never go back into his office and have decided to switch.

Dr. Kmak has been my OB/GYN for 30+ years. I have seen him at every office he has practiced at. He saved my life when I had my first child almost 31 years ago. He changed my life for the better by aggressively treating a dangerous condition 15 years ago. He is extremely skilled, competent, and knowledgeable. He is kind, empathic, a straight-forward communicator, listens well and always addresses my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kmak inserted my IUD. I have not had children so it was an excruciatingly painful process. I blacked out and couldn’t move my hands or stand up for at least 15 minutes, a nurse had to help me get dressed. Dr. Kmak told me “if you can’t tolerate this pain you will never be able to have kids.” I was horrified. There are far too many doctors who dismiss women’s pain, I feel that women should know who they’re going to for their care.

Dr. Kmak is an excellent physician. I went to him for a hysterectomy. He did the laparoscopic procedure. I would highly recommend him.
