Good doctor, but overpriced ultrasound
Once baptist health purchased the vascular team, my bill for a routine ultrasound went from $200 to $2800 at the same location. The 'hospital' bill was more than 10x for the exact same procedure at same location!!!

Terrible
My mother was a patient of Dr. Lipsky. She lost blood flow to her brain during the procedure, and ended up passing away as a result. Upon telling me she lost blood flow to her brain during the surgery and may not wake up, Dr. Lipsky ended the discussion by saying “other than that, the surgery went great!” My mom was dead three days later. On top of that they took her to surgery when she had atrial fibrillation, and she had a blood clot that likely was caused by this condition during surgery. Another doctor from his practice removed the dressing from her amputated foot, and left it open without notifying a nurse a few days earlier. Don’t just avoid Dr. Lipsky, avoid the entire group he’s associated with.

I cannot recommend Dr. Lipski. Neither he nor his staff seemed to care about building patient rapport. It felt like he was anxious to get the appointment over with quickly. He literally answered "I don't know" to several questions regarding vascular health. If a vascular surgeon doesn't know, whom should one ask? I would caution any woman with lipedema, or lipolymphedema to do her research before trusting this doc. He doesn't seem to be educated about the vascular challenges women with lipedema face (Loose connective tissue disorders, Ehlers Danlos, Chronic Venous Insufficiency, etc). Did not do the very minimum (an ultrasound) to check vein competency. Did not overtly "fat-shame" but that was the vibe. Many women who are overweight have venous reflux and insufficiency...not because they caused it, but because congenital lymphedema and/or lipedema actually caused the excessive storage of adipose tissue. The weight is a symptom of disease, not the disease itself. Read up

I’ve dealt with awful vericose veins for 10 years, since I was around 25. My legs were tired, felt heavy, sometimes they itched and a lot of times they ached. Not to mention I hadn’t worn shorts in years because they were huge, and so ugly. Two weeks after surgery and even with all the bruising my legs look and feel amazing. Ran 3 miles just a week and half after surgery. Dr Lipski is very thorough, will spend time to answer all questions and is a great surgeon. So glad I was recommend to him.

My husband recently saw Dr. Lipski at his new office over at Baptist East. He apparently loves the doctor but his staff is awful! He is so much pain he can hardly walk, and with his job he is constantly on his feet!! He was told he needs surgery, however the scheduling surgery was not there that day and when he did finally received a call two days later he missed her call, so he called her back and it took her another two days to call him back, Again! Then he was told it would take her at least two to three months to approval from our insurance company for his Surgery to be approved! So the soonest he could be scheduled for Surgery was February! YES February! (He got his Knee replacement Surgery approved in 48 hours with our Insurance company) I was shocked this woman is tell him it is going take 3 MONTHS especially when someone is in so much pain!

Dr. Lipski is one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to. He’s incredibly thorough, and is genuinely thoughtful and kind. I was incredibly impressed with the results Of my vein surgery. I had very bad varicose veins, today I am varicose vein free. I had been treated for these twice before by other docs. He stands head and shoulders above everyone.

Since my appointment with Dr. Lipski, my condition has worsened. I thought that after treatment I would see an improvement in my varicose veins. Instead, I have more pain than before and they look worse than ever. Being treated by him was a terrible experience and I would not recommend him to anyone.
