Colorectal
I’m a medical sales rep and get to observe a lot of surgeons and procedures. For colorectal low anterior stuff he is the man and the surgeon I would recommend to friends and loved ones. He moves quick and precise, works with confidence and is able to accurately change his operative plan intraoperatively based on anatomy when needed.

Excellent care
We found out my husband had a tumor at his colonoscopy. Dr Longcope had a cancellation and in 2 weeks he was in surgery. His staff helped with everything and had it all lined up. Came out and visited me after surgery. Very nice and made sure I was ok and understood everything. Great bedside manner with my husband. Highly recommend

Excellent Provider
Excellent experience with Dr. Longcope in 2019 & his team. Was very thorough and took time. He does stay busy and is looking at your backend so I don't expect a long visit haha. Bedside manner was great though, and I appreciated him getting me right in after an ER visit.

A physician's physician
Although I have known Dr. Longcope for many years as a colleague, today I got to know him as my doctor. He is compassionate and skilled and made the entire experience comfortable.

Despicable. This is a terrible practice whether you're measuring ethics or quality of care. First, this is a factory, seemingly cranking through as many patients as possible. Higher income for Longcope. I had questions, but he was done. Was washing his hands and flying out of there. Don't expect a conversation with your doctor. Longcope's office said they took my insurance before setting up the appointment. I also brought the card to the appointment and they took it. But it turns out they DON'T work with my insurance. My insurance company won't cover it and Longcope is charging me $550. I told them they said YES, they take the insurance. And I swear to God that Roxy in billing told me "technically they did take it from me, it's just that nothing is covered because they don't work with my company." They will not discount it. I'm going to take them to small claims court. Don't be fooled and please help any seniors who are potentially losing the capacity to deal with trickery.

Excellent surgeon. I had to do 3 surgeries for my total colectomy. He explained everything, didn't rush any questions, helped me understand the hows and whys of all three of my procedures, and had great bedside manner (a rarity with doctors).

I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Longcope perform my surgery. A colon resection is not the operation anyone wants to have, but I am experiencing very little pain and expect a full and successful recovery. Not only is Dr. Longcope a leading expert in his field but his caring manner makes him a truly remarkable doctor.

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Longcope. He is definitely an expert in his field. It is like having the Mayo Clinic come to you in Denver! He made sure he answered all of my questions and fully understood what type of surgery I needed and why. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of surgery.

Dr Longcope performed a resection on my sigmoid colon and removed a large cancerous tumor in the process. He also performed a temporary ileostomy so the anastomosis could heal. All procedures were performed successfully and without complications. He was always very clear in explaining the surgical procedures, and the requirements for a successful recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Longcope to anyone requiring complicated gastroenterological surgery.
