I met with Dr Mack once via telemedicine in Alaska. I had been encouraged to at least meet Mack since I commute 5+ hrs r/t to see a female psychiatrist & could see Mack locally via telemed. I was uncomfortable with him and near the end of the 30 minute session told him I was not going to be comfortable seeing a male, which was also true. He held his dog up next to his head facing the camera & with a smile & a sort of sing song voice asked "Does this help?" No, it did not. I opted not to disclose any hx that led to ptsd. We ended with my letting him know I was going to continue seeing my female provider of 8 years. The receptionist called me about prescriptions from him which I declined since I was seeing my regular provider that next week. My insurance suddenly stopped assisting with med travel because telemed with Mack was now available. I was told to get a letter from him explaining he didnt offer female provider which I needed. He refused with no explanation.
