GI Dr. for 8 years.
I saw Dr. Morris today, Sept. 26. I have had him as my G. I. Dr. for over 8 years. He was kind and explained the test results with me. I feel a lot better knowing what he told me. I would recommend Dr. Morris for a G.I. dr.

My first visit and meeting
I met Dr Morris for the first time yesterday. I found him considerate, knowledgeable, he took the time to listen though I can tend to rattle on sometimes. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy and I saw the RX he called in to my pharmacy was Not the 1 half to whole gallon I’ve had to drink on a previous one. I told my hubby to schedule his with Dr.Morris too. I felt relaxed too.

Disrespectful , no post-procedure communication
Had a urgent need for colonoscopy. He was available on short notice - and I think I know why. While the office visit was okay, the procedure was not. While waiting for the anesthesia, he and his nurse anesthetist were in the OR. He was sitting at a computer, never acknowledged me; neither did the nurse. I asked him a question. His response was 'are you on drugs?' I used to be a licensed healthcare provider so my question was neither unintelligent nor unintelligible. I replied that I was not and re-stated my question. He did not respond. Then the nurse under his supervision placed a needle into my hand and pushed the injection. The medicine was extremely cold and she injected it very fast, like IV push in a trauma-crash situation. I told her 'That hurts a lot!' She said 'Don't worry, you'll be out soon enough.' After my procedure, Morris did not come see me or explain anything; never saw him again. He delegated to the post-op nurse to tell me what he found. No follow-up.

Awful experience!
I had an awful experience. The front desk was rude. The doctor spent very little time with me and didn’t explain anything. He never sent me my test results. He didn’t respond to messages in the patient portal. He ordered an invasive procedure and gave me no information about it. His scheduling team couldn’t answer any of my questions, and then I couldn’t get ahold of the doctor to get answers. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Morris first diagnosed me with PBC about 15 years ago. He came to Pryor once a month as a “clinic” in an local medical facility. I really liked him. He was great. My mind was so “foggy” at that time from liver cirrhosis that it was many months later before I started comprehending the seriousness of my auto-immune disorder. Over the years I studied and read more and more on liver damage. At one point I had this overwhelming urge to get a second opinion. I requested my records to be shared with another doctor (after all, they are my records) and he called me in person to let me know that if I went to another doctor that I would not be welcome back and that our medical relationship would be over. I was so aghast at what I was hearing, it upset me so much. I didn’t care for the doctor that I went to for a second opinion and would have gone back to him, but instead I went several years without the care & help from a specialist. Now, I’m being considered for a liver transplant.

i also have been going to Dr. Morris for awhile. I would definitely recommend him. The first few times i saw him it was for a few minutes and it was like a fog... i was having some procedures. LOL. but when i went in with another issue (not surgery), he was like i remembered. Welcome-able and great bedside manners and very interested in what i was concerned about. D. Watkins

Dr Morris helped me with a problem I'd been having for awhile with hemorrhoids. He told me about a simple banding procedure which would cure my problem in 3-5 short visits (it ended up taking just 3). Dr. Morris has a great bedside manner which helped me relax and feel at ease discussing a sort of embarrassing problem to talk about and thoroughly explained what he was going to do and how ti works. I would recommend him to anyone needing similar care.
