Dr. David Onofrey, MD

Very positive experience with Dr Onofrey and his team. I found them to be a competent & compassionate group of healthcare workers during a difficult chapter in my life.

I was very impressed with Dr. Onofrey's professional manner and complete explanations before and after my gall bladder surgery last week. I had heard horror stories about how terrible this surgery would be. It was not! With his skilled care my gall bladder was removed without incident in spite of being perhaps somewhat infected. He followed me very carefully due to this, kept me in the hospital for an extra day of IV antibiotics and put me on oral antibiotics at home. Now here I am, a week later, and I feel just wonderful. He cautioned me to "take it easy", however, and I am following orders! I highly recommend Dr. Onofrey, a very skilled and personable surgeon.

I had gone 5 years with my abdomen issues being written off, misdiagnosed, ignored, etc. Finally I had a wonderful OBGYN refer me to Dr. Onofrey. He told me very clearly that he was about 80% sure that gallbladder removal surgery would relieve my symptoms, and then informed me the risks and possible aftereffects. He left the decision completely up to me. I took the chance, and boy am I glad I did. All of my pain and discomfort is gone, my digestion is markably improved, and I had no complications whatsoever. He did a wonderful, fast, clean job.

Excellent specialist he knows exactly what he's doing and he's very knowledgeable. I definitely would recommend him.

He is a wonderful surgeon. I had an infected appendix at age 79 years old. This doctor examined me, diagnosed the appendix and removed it. I was recovered in a little over a week. In addition to him being very skilled, he is also very, very nice. I would trust him any day.
