Terrible Staff Mediocre Doctor
Let's begin with the staff, who, at times, are more critical to successful treatment than the actual doctor. They are the front door to important information when you are not face-to-face with your physician. At this office they are atrocious. They answer the phone rudely and leave you on hold for extended periods, sometimes over an hour. They do not follow up on issues they commit to, and, most of all, they don't feel they should do any better. The practice manager is young and intimidated by the staff. As for the doctor, he is "okay." All his training was in the same place, limiting his skill. It seems he has never had any actual training specific to hands. He misdiagnosed my child and told him he required surgery for something that did not. I'm sure he's fine for minor issues...not a true "hand specialist" imo. Our new doctor from John's Hopkins advised going to Binghamton as the closest place for competent orthopedics for anything beyond basic. Hope this helps others.

I have been treated by Dr. Patalino for many years for arthritis in my hands. I was prescribed a medication which requires prior authorization from my insurance company. The problem I face is with his staff. The Dr.'s office receives a letter requesting the paperwork to be filed. It took three months last year for his staff to be properly fill out and submit the forms before it could be approved. I have no issue with Dr. Patalino, who is very well versed in his field of practice.

Did an arthroscopy on my wrist and didn’t prescribe any pain medications for after surgery. Office didn’t return calls about it either. They just left me to suffer. I’ve had ten surgeries and never had this happen before.

I had a School-Lunate reconstruction and Dr. Pattalino totally botched the surgery! He didn’t do what he was supposed to do and then lied about everything I asked about and tried to cover it up. Because of him I am having to have my 3rd surgery where they have to give me a full wrist fusion! It is my dominant hand and I am a contractor that haven’t worked in almost 3 years and most likely not able to work in my field again!! Don’t use this doctor for anything!!

I honesty enjoyed being a patient of Dr.PATALINO. He was very informative and understanding. I had carpal tunnel surgery and the result is amazing. The staff and Dr. Patalino were great to work with. APEX surgical center is so much better than going to an area hospital.

I was a patient of dr. Patalino several years ago. I found him to unsure of what was wrong with my hand. He didn't seem to want to address it. Also he seemed confused on what to do. All he seemed to want do is pass the buck. So I would'nt recommend him to anyone
