Dr. Reichel always asks questions related to my ongoing issues, and shows he deeply cares about my health. He is very honest in discussing my issues and offers advice on how best to maintain my good health.

I waited for my first appointment with Reichel for 8 month. Finally, I arrived and was given the forms to fill out by an angry receptionist. When I asked for help with the forms, she responded in a rude, impatient way. I crossed out most of listed conditions (thankfully, I don't have any) as well as filled out the required info and returned the papers to the reception. 20 minutes later, a woman entered the waiting room and announced that Reichel "refuses to see me." "Why?" I asked, bewildered. "Because he has high standards," she responded. My husband ( Reichel's patient) witnessed the scene and was literally speechless. I live most of the time in London and can say with confidence — Behavior like this by a British medical professional would result in an instant dismissal. It is sad that the shortage of doctors in Sarasota gives persons like David Reichel the right to pick and choose patients as well as exercise and abuse power. Glad I've been spared having a doctor like this one.

Our family has been seeing Dr Reichel for almost 15 years. As the child of a surgeon I knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He doesn’t rush through exams, has established a positive relationship with our family and is willing to make time for an appointment if there is an urgent need. I would recommend Dr Reichel to anyone in need of an outstanding GP.

Dr. Reichel is the most compassionate and caring doc I've ever met. He cared for my mom and now cares for my dad. He was very attentive when my mom was near death and took time to call to give us counsel. Dr. Reichel is extremely knowledgeable and professional and takes time to respond to questions. 10 stars.

Dr David Reichel is a steadfast, well informed, compassionate doctor and one who goes far beyond the norm. He has been my primary doctor for 15 years and has hoisted me through death defying illness with an amazing determination and goodwill. He listens and councils with an open honesty that quite frankly has kept me going when I want to give up. His guidance, referrals, recommendations and human touch is something I wish everyone could experience in a doctor. I feel so lucky to have Dr David Reichel as my health care doctor. I am alive because he cares.

He is the type of doctor that no only knows his stuff, but he listens to you and does not push you out of an appointment to get to the next person. Dr. Reichel treated my Great Aunt Rita for over 15 years. When you set an appointment there is no wait, and he will sit with you for as long as you need. He is now my Doctor, and I have never had a bad experience. I really appreciate the time and attention he gives his patients.

seriously misdiagnosed me, as well as 2 people I know. He insisted I only had a cold in spite of 3 months of seriously worsening symptoms, and that I was over reacting and complaining too much. Within 3 hours of leaving his office I was seen by another physician who recognized the seriousness of my illness and eventually was able to diagnose a life threatening condition. I know 3 people who would have died if they had not gone somewhere else.

Makes patient feel like a number. Failed to do proper screening for early prostate cancer; cancer found but failed to include proper testing to continue checking prostate levels for cancer progression. Had to change to another doctor. These doctors in this group will not allow a patient to change to another doctor within this group. It is a business only!
