Poor bedside manner
Dr Rich was Arrogant and rude. He Recommended a CT scan when he didn't see any kidney stones on an Xray. I’ve had many kidney stones for 30 yrs. This was by far the worst experience with a physician.

Thank you, Dr. Rich
Dr. Rich is a brilliant surgeon. The other 2 doctors I see were amazed how quickly I recovered from surgery, and how well it healed. He treated me like family; caring, thorough in all ways, and made sure I was always informed. He is a blessing.

Excellent UROLOGIST
Dr. Rich is an excellent doctor who treated me with so much respect and compassion. I have never meet a doctor who apologized for being 15 minutes late to see me. He was very thorough in explaining what was wrong and the options available to me. After I was released from the hospital he called me to see how I was doing. I would without any hesitation highly recommend Dr. Rich who needed an urologist.

Dr Rich recently treated me with Lithotripsy. He and his staff were great! I hope I don’t have another kidney stone but if I do, I know who I will see!

I agree completely with the other 1 star reviews. Today was my 3rd visit with Dr. Rich. When he came into the exam room, he sat down in a chair BEHIND ME while I was seated on the exam table. He never made eye contact with me the entire time I was there. He never asked how I was doing (I was in the ER last week). Dr. Rich only seems interested in "selling" me on the idea of surgery for my BPH. I was the one who brought up the possibility of changing my medication. It can take months to see any improvement from the new medication, but I would rather avoid surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. After sitting behind me for my entire appointment, he stood up, said he would find someone to remove my catheter, and walked out the door without even glancing in my direction.

We agree with the 2 "1 star " reviews....he too was very arrogant and in a rush with us. As a result of his behavior (no bedside manner)and lack of manners etc...we decided to switch urologists...Dr. Gangi is very experienced and professional, highly recommend.

He listens and answers my questions and explains exactly what is happening and his plan to proceed. He has even offered to refer me to someone else if I don't feel comfortable with him. Very understanding and concerned.

Outstanding. I owe him my life. If not for his genuine concern for my health my condition would have advanced to the point where it was beyond treatment. He has always treated me with respect more like a friend than a doctor. Hopefully I won't need anything than follow up check appointments but I if did I would put my life in his hands again without a second thought. Thank You Dr. Rich James Gay

Dr. Rich was very thorough and was concerned about my overall well being. He listened to all of my concerns and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He presented several options and showed respect for my opinions. I did not feel rushed and had a very pleasant conversation with him about both personal and professional topics. His staff was also pleasant and professional. I would not hesitate to call him or his staff at any time if I had questions or concerns.

One of the worst physicians I have ever dealt with. No bedside skills, patient empathy, medical competence, lack of procedure followup, etc.. After his procedure I experienced extensive bleeding for days. It took him 5 days to respond to my calls for a resolution to the problem. Removal of an internal stent a nightmare regarding pain with no local anesthesia. Great nusing staff supporting a terrible doctor. Use anyone but him
