Relieved
I had put off bladder surgery for over a decade. I finally agreed because I heard Dr. Rushing was the best in this field. He did not disappoint. His staff and nurse were always available for questions and I am now two days post-op with minimal discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Rushing (and NPs) as a GYN and surgeon.

Several Appointments
At this moment I’m trying to find me another doctor. Dr. Rushing is terrible. I will never go back to see him! I agree with others, he has no bedside manners and behave like he’s not concern about my female issues. I’m so disappointed in his professionalism I won’t ever go back to see him for absolutely nothing and will never refer anyone to his office.

After visiting Dr. Rushing, it was determined I needed a small surgical outpatient procedure. He was cautious about doing it until I had a test done to make sure which procedure I needed. He didn’t want to do surgery unwarranted. I appreciated that. When I returned for my test results, Dr. Rushing was very informative and took time to answer all the questions I had. Very professional.

The man has no bedside manner. He has very little sympathy for women suffering from endometriosis and speaks in a very condescending manner. His staff is also not very friendly. He always appears to be in a hurry and makes you feel as if you are wasting his time.

I was having side effects from the tamoxifen I take for breast cancer and wondered if a hysterectomy was the best solution. Both Dr. Rushing and his staff listened and took great care and caution with my health. Dr. Rushing had a great sense of humor the morning of surgery to lighten my mood. I have been a patient for three years and have never had any issues with the clinic.

I will never recommend Dr. Rushing to family and friends and after my recent visit I will never be seeing him again. I should take the time to file a complaint with the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners but in the meantime - I give him 5 stars for unprofessional conduct!

Will take out your ovaries instead of prescribe birth control if you hormones are low. May drop off your thyroid during surgery and forget to refer you for a thyroid pill. Has one of the highest C section and multiple birth rates in the city. Has trouble doing blood work more than 1 time.

Terrible bedside manners, no explanation of options or procedures unless I asked, and then was treated like I was 'high maintenance.' Dr. Rushing was cavalier and impatient. I have never felt so much like a slab of meat with a physician before.

Dr. Rushing is an excellent sergeant however his bedside manner is something he does not have. I was unhappy with my after care as well as the level of communication I received about the endometriosis he had to remove. His staff is very short and rude. They did not keep up well with my records and often did not remember what was told to me or what tests they had ran.
