Dr. Cheng is an empathetic, skilled physician
Dr. Cheng is à remarkably gifted, personable physician, who has the unique ability to make you feel listened to and cared about. Our consultations have typically extended well beyond the amount of his time I might reasonably have expected him to devote to my case, and his recommendations have always gone to the heart of my back and neck pain problems. In short, Dr. Cheng understands people and pain.

For several years, I have been treated by Dr. Cheng for serious pain in my back and neck. He is à remarkably gifted, personable physician, who has the unique ability to make you feel listened to and cared about. Our consultations have typically extended well beyond the time I might reasonably have expected him to devote to my case, and his recommendations have always gone to the heart of my problems. USC/Keck doesn't always get everything right, but in this case they have an absolute winner.

One of the greatest docs
I have been treated by many physicians in the field of pain and orthopedics - Dr. Cheng is definitely among the best. IMO he is excellent at assessing the clinical picture, and explaining complexities in a very clear and logical manner. Great bedside manner. He has treated my mother and a friend as well, and they were left with the same excellent impression. I will continue to refer people to him. He is worth the schlep to USC!

Dr. Cheng is a very pleasant fellow. He explains the procedure in terms that I could understand - he wants only the best for me and that is even if USC does not do the surgery - he wants to make sure that I fully understand my options and choices when making that decision when the time comes. Excellent doctor with great bedside manners.

Dr. Cheng was attentive, caring, and was one of the first doctors I have seen that truly listened to my entire health history and tried to get to the bottom of the cause of my pain. I would HIGHLY recommend him to any family member or friend who was in pain. I've seen a lot of doctors for my pain, and he has by far been one of the most attentive doctors I have seen. We need more Dr. Cheng's in the medical field.

Dr. Cheng was very professional and thorough. I appreciated him explaining some unusual findings in terms I could understand. All my doctors at USC have been exceptional and I would highly recommend USC. The only challenging part was getting into the entrance of the Arcadia building from the parking structure. I felt the entrance could have been marked more clearly.

Under the circumstances, I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Dr. Cheng does a great job of explaining the procedure, possible side-effects, and the long-term outcome. He is able to boil it down into a non-medical terminology so that I could easily understand what I needed to know.
