There is better elsewhere
My experience was not well. Dr Sacks did not care. Very archaic no notes poked me hard in the eye when applying the dye (ive had this done before) and did not help me and rushed me out. Had to go elsewhere for help. Do not recommend at all.

Dr. Sacks is the best
Dr. Sacks performed cataract surgery on both my eyes and is treating me for double vertical vision. He is easy to talk with and always explains medical information and eye care instructions. He takes his time and you don't feel rushed. I have been going to him for a few years now and am so happy I found him. I would highly recommend him.

Dismissive
The first two times I saw Dr. Sacks, he was pleasant and attentive. But yesterday he could hardly give me the time of day. He was quite kind and friendly to the lady in the next room, taking his time with her. But he scolded me for not remembering part of his instructions for my eye drops, then walked away from me as I was talking to him after my exam. I'll go elsewhere from now on.

Awful experience rude negligent
Had cataract and lens insertion for mid reading and distance vision. Measurements and prescription strength taken preCovid almost 2 1/2 years prior to surgery Dec 2019. I postponed due to Covid. He refused to redo measurements in Feb 2022, reluctantly I did surgery with him. He gave me a general anesthetic. (You only need a local anesthetic)I was unable stand up or talk for rest of day. After surgery I had very bad eye pain (right eye) & numb right side face. When I went in next day I told him and I could not read as he promised me I would be able to. He said I was talking nonsense ….total disregard for patients. HE IS ARROGANT DOES NOT LISTEN. HE NEVER RECORDS WHAT HE TOLD YOU PREVIOUSLY IN A CONSULATION VISIT SO HE DENIES ANYTHING YOU QUESTION HIM ON WHAT HE TOLD YOU….GASLIGHTING IS THE TERM. HE DOESNT USE A COMPUTER TO RECORD NOTES. AND HE DOESNT REMEMBER WHAT HE SAID BUT I DO. On 3rd visit 10days after surgery and still in agony, he said I talking rubbish. HE IS NEGLIGENT

I have been going to Dr. Sacks for 20+ years. He is very direct and candid. He is professional, capable, and gifted. He did both of my cataract surgeries many years ago, and I would not let anyone else examine or treat my eyes. I have recommended him to my daughters, my husband and many others. He is THE best!

Dr. Sacks recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. I have better vision now than when I was born! Surgery was painless and quick. He is thoughtful and considerate. I like his no nonsense approach - gives easy to understand instructions and I felt he really cared about the success of my procedure. His office staff was very polite and efficient. I would recommend Dr. David Sacks to anyone needing an eye procedure. I will continue to see him as needed. Thank you Dr. Sacks!

Terrible first and last appointment. Will NEVER see this dr. again. Staff is cold, rude and unprofessional. Obviously following in doctors footsteps. I was told to sit on a bench where a staff member put drops in my eyes but failed to mention what the drops were for until AFTER . The Dr. visit itself consisted of 1 1/2 - 2 minute exam after which I was told your eyes are fine, you can go. Dr. never introduced himself or addressed me by name. Very unprofessional all the way around.

I feel Dr. Sacks is very knowledgeable in his field and when I went to have my first surgery, the facility I had the surgery at, talked very highly of him, so that made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Sacks is a very a matter of fact person and does not waste your time, which I appreciate since I believe my time is very valuable. However I have to mention his receptionist needs to find another job, she doesn't seem happy and is not friendly and can be rude at times. :-(
