a truly great doctor who spends time with you.
I've seen Dr. Sahar for probably fifteen years, and my husband also did. He caught a life-threatening situation for my husband, picked up the phone when we were there, called another doctor at NYP who saw him immediately. Will never forget that. He likely would have died unless Dr. Sahar caught this and immediately acted on what he saw.As for me, he insisted I should have a pacemaker because I have such a slow heart though I felt fine. He pushed me a bit, but he was right. I trust him. Dr Sahar spends more time with his patients--a good 30 minutes, and meets with you in his office after examining you to TALK. and tell you everything, while also knowing how to reassure you if you are overly anxious. Yes, he can run late but that is because he never rushes an exam or the follow up. Dr. Sahar truly is one of a kind.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Sahar?
Dr. Sahar is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he has one of the most arrogant and condescending styles of any physician I have been to. I waited over an hour for my last visit and ultimately left because there were still two people ahead of me. For my most recent visit, which I purposely scheduled for early in the morning, I still had to wait 45 minutes because the doctor came to the office late. He asked me why I was there and what medications I was taking--both pieces of information he would have known if had taken the time to review my files. He was dismissive of questions and, in fact, walked out in the middle of one of them. I got the sense that he was rushing through my visit because he was running late. However, this is no excuse. He was almost as arrogant the last time I saw him. He comes across as very full of himself.

Doctor Sahar is an excellent physician. He is passionate about what he does and has decades of experience in the field; I have never met any cardiologist who is this dedicated to his work and truly cares for the patients. He is kind and professional, and listens to the patient well. His nurse and admin staff are also kind, patient, and professional. I highly recommend!

Very abrupt!!! Did not consider that patient with Alzheimer’s would not be able to recall events therefore would not be able to present accurate information. Constantly interrupted caregiver. Extremely insensitive. After reading the wonderful reviews, this experience was a terrible disappointment. Maria was wonderful. This doctor could take some lessons in compasssion from her. One day he might be on the other side and hopefully he will have a more caring doctor attend to him than he was to us.
