Mohs
I have had three Mohs procedures on my face that Dr Smack has performed. I am totally happy with the surgery and the outcome.

Amazing doctor
Not sure what the negative reviewer is talking about here. Dr Smack calls every one of his surgery patients the night they had surgery to check on them and answer any questions. He also gives all surgery patients his home phone number and encourages patients to call him any time they have any questions. He does not prescribe narcotics due to the opioid epidemic but will prescribe them if routine pain medication is not helping enough. I have had a wound left open for secondary healing and can attest it takes a long time to heal, but sometimes that is the only option for large scalp wounds. I would recommend Dr Smack any day and every day. He is so adept, skilled, and up to date in his specialty. He takes his time explaining everything and is always available for any questions or concerns.

Abandoned care of 90 year old dad
My father had Mohs surgery on his head in September 2022. The hole on his scalp was 3inches x 2 inches and down to the bone. This man had his initial follow up appointment scheduled on December 14, 2022. He never called to see how my dad was doing or how he was healing. This wound is still open and is still requiring three days a week dressing changes. As a nurse myself, I am appalled at the lack of care by this “doctor. “. And after leaving this enormous wound, my dad was not sent home with anything for pain. AVOID THIS “DOCTOR “ Thank goodness for wound care at UMMC in Easton.
