Dr. David Sprouse, MD

Bad! he rushed in did not exam my husband. Told him he did not have a sinus infection, he then left abruptly. The office charge for the visit and a telehealth call that never happened for $110. I do not recommend this doctor. He is horrible.

Family Medicine is filled with Christian music and smiling fluff but several staff members do not want to be bothered if the solution isn't quick and easy. I feel as if Sprouse puts on a smile, unnecessary follow-up visits, and really wants to get the patient in and out ASAP. Office staff, especially Jasmine, are unhelpful, definitely not wanting to go the extra mile. I asked to leave a message for Sprouse's or a physicians assistant's voicemail. Was told "we aren't allowed to transfer people to his voicemail" and "you didn't see a physician's assistant so you can't leave a message for one", even though I saw Sprouse. The have no plan in place regarding the CPAP shortage. Literally told by Jasmine to call around San Antonio and see if you can find one. This is my first CPAP. Not only do I not have the prescription in front of me, but I wouldn't know anything about what to ask for or how get one. Literally begged the person on the phone to address alternatives with Sprouse.

Went in for a yearly physical that was 100% covered, but Dr. Sprouts billed $150 additional office visit (double billing in my opinion) for something involved in the physical info. When we called his billing office we were told to call our insurance and that she advises patients to not say anything during a physical! Are you kidding me! Worthless and now I’m stuck paying a bill. We won’t be returning to this office due to ethical concerns!

I have been going to Dr Sprouse for 15 years, and today I am looking for a new doctor. His office staff is the WORST I have ever seen. I needed an appointment for refills. They would not give me an appointment because they said it was time for a physical. They were supposed to call me back to let me know if I could have an appointment for the refills and go the next week for a physical but they never called me back. So all my RXs ran out. Then I got sick but hadn't had time to fill out the papers for a new doctor. They gave me an appointment, but when I got there they wanted my insurance card and would not let me see the doctor even though I offered to pay the whole thing in cash. Mind you, I have the same insurance I have had for 2 years, and they had it on file. And I don't owe them any money and have always paid at each visit. I will never go back there because the staff is so very rude and difficult to deal with.
