I visited the office for an emerging cataract issue and it became very clear it was a surgery mill. A lot of emphasis on implanting the most expensive IOL and very little interest in details of my condition. I returned home and found that the internet has lots more information about cataract surgery than what I received in this office. I naturally didnt proceed any further.

I underwent laser surgery for cataract removal. Dr. Steinberg was excellent. I have known him for some years, dating back to when I was a Pediatric Nurse at Vassar Brothers Hospital. I most enthusiastically recommend Dr. Steinberg for all your eye care needs.

Went in for a shrapnel removal, Dr Steinberg actually only spent 32 seconds I counted looking in my eye stated that there was nothing in there left the room after a $200 copay that was never supposed to be charged now 2 weeks later I'm partially blind in one eye and the shrapnel was never removed I will never return as he spent very little time actually doing his job. The four and a half star reviews I think are fake take it with a grain of salt you are nothing but a number to these doctors not actual people or patients anymore thanks Dr Steinberg now I'm blind thanks to you.

Visited Dr. Steinberg for a second opinion. They took me in early. His receptionists answered my phone call within seconds for me to make an appointment. Also, his receptionists checked my insurance thoroughly, and I don't mind, as I don't want misunderstandings over insurance. His waiting room, exam rooms and restroom were immaculate. I will confess I am a dental and medical coward. Dr Steinberg and all his staff made great effort to put me at ease. His receptionists were warm, friendly and kind, and were real team players. Dr. Steinberg and his techs were very thorough, conscientious and displayed real teamwork. All the equipment was state of the art and looked brand new and well maintained. Dr. Steinberg wrote a letter to my family practice doctor and endocrinologist. In my opinion, I think Dr. Steinberg is the best opthalmologist in Dutchess County! Yes, Dr. Steinberg is now my opthalmologist!!

Every time I pick up a book to read or thread a needle without glasses, I thank this brilliant surgeon. He removed both my cataracts and implanted the lenses that allowed me to see both near and far without glasses. That was my dream. I now go every 6 months for pressure checks. His staff is warm and welcoming, and very thorough. You will get top notch care with Dr. Steinberg.

He shows up for 30 seconds after his staff did the legwork. For a suspected dry eye condition he prescribed 28 days of antibiotics. Fool me! This course of antibiotics destroyed the good bacteria in my gut and so many months later still affected. Good luck!

My experience w Dr. Steinberg and staff was very positive. I particularly want to thank his staff. They all work hard to keep the many patients moving along. I have been going to Dr Steinberg for at least 15 years or more. He is an excellent Dr and the office staff is wonderful. I really like William he is so friendly and knows what he is doing. He always answers all my questions but tells me to ask the Dr. I just had cataract surgery and it was a very good experience. I highly recommend Dr. Steinberg.

I had cataracts in both eyes, Dr. Steinberg and his team measured my eyes for lens implants and replaced both lenses. The measurement took one office visit, installing the lenses took one visit each (2 weeks between) to the surgery center and a post sugery vision check about one week after each surgery. The multi focal lenses, which Dr Steinberg recommend, are worth every penny. After more than 20 years I can see at distance and to read without glass. Especially note, Dr. Steinberg performed DROP-LESS surgery technique that involves using medications at the time of surgery instead of requiring the patient to take eye drops before and after. I recommend the Dr. Steinberg and his staff as high professionals in their field.

I had small incision cataract surgery and Dr. Steinberg is very excellent, honest, thorough, and will quickly follow up to make sure all goes well. The staff are very friendly and they care. The enhanced multifocal lens is an excellent choice and should be a must: I can read, vision is clear without the halo or excessive floaters, there were no strange after effects, there is a UV filter. Dr. Wright is also an extremely excellent doctor.
