If you want real treatment, don’t come here
A family member was a patient of Sticklers for over a year following a work injury. In that time, her injuries and subsequent symptoms were downplayed and not looked at properly. We were told her scans were normal when anyone with slight medical knowledge would cert quickly refute that. When medication suggestions were made and questions were asked about how they would effect preexisting conditions, we weren’t given an answer or even simply an I don’t know, let me check. When we pushed for more testing, we were told that there was nothing more that could be done. Fast forward to a second opinion, we got the diagnosis of moderate to severe left brain injury and severe post concussion syndrome…all based off previous scans that Stickler received. The amount of blatant disregard for the most important organ of the body was astounding. We would drive over an hour and wait well past our appointment time to get seen, then get hit with this. I couldn’t NOT suggest a neurologist more than him.

Compassionate Doctor Who Listens
Dr. Stickler has been one of the kindest, compassionate doctors I've seen yet. He really listens well and he is always open to my questions and concerns. I'm lucky to have found Dr. Stickler. He also spends alot of time with his patients, which is rare these days.

Very pleased with Dr Strickler, the only thing bad I can say is the wait time was too long, otherwise I like Dr Strickler, he was good to my daughter and didn’t pass us off, he took her as his patient hope to come back for many years, very pleased with office staff also!

Dr. Stickler and his PA were great. However, charging extra to use bank cards and credit cards is insane. This is a large practice that has two other practices in with it and they can't afford to either find a new card reader or take that amount out of their profits??? You know the owner is making a lot of money, right so this is crazy to charge the customer for the use of a credit card reader when no other medical practice does this. Talk about customer satisfaction scores! I recommend Dr. Stickler, but not the cheap person running the practice.

This office is horrible at communication and accountability. It is a shame that someone who provides this kind of important patient care could be so flippant and dismissive of patient needs. This is truly disappointing. There needs to be some better communication within the office as well as to patients and patient's families. Dr. Stickler should look to hire different staff and PA's if he wants to retain patients.

My diagnosis is complicated. After seeing neurologists from both downtown hospitals and being told “it’s all in my head” I was examined, diagnosed and treated by Dr Stickler. It’s an unfortunate diagnosis but Dr Sticker shows compassion and appropriate follow up care.

Contacted this office to see if they had experience treating a particular condition. They said yes so we made an appointment, saw the doc who recommended an MRI. Got an MRI that showed nothing (typical for this particular dx) and then doc said, its hard to test for that. So no answers, no proper assessment/diagnostics, and wasted a lot of money on a test that was not appropriate. Followed up with office manager about our concerns. She agreed to investigate and get back to me but never did.

My mom was recently a patient there and had to go back to her primary care doctor to get another neurologist because every time she called dr sticklers office she could never get ahold of anyone at the office she would leave messages and never get a call back! If someone has a migraine 9 times out of 10 they are in severe pain and the last thing they want to deal with is office staff that doesn’t answer the phone and or is rude when they come in. AWFUL PLACE! Don’t go here

His office is a nightmare for anyone with migraines. The waiting room is loud, bright, and uncomfortable. When you finally see this man in person he will not listen to you at all. He will put you on medications and never mention the possible side effects. The appointment reminders from his office are also confusion. They are titled with Pain Clinic, while the office is tittle Neurology Associates. Not at all the same and if you actually have a pain management Dr, well you get the point. Skip him

Dr. Stickler is one of the worst neurologists in the tri-county area. He doesn't listen to your concerns, and spends very little time with you. His office staff is extremely rude. They have the whole "I'm better than you attitude", and they will talk down to you. They also can't keep their financial records straight. 3 different people told me 3 different amounts that I owed and all gave me attitude even though I was super nice. Dr Stickler refused to see me until I paid $25. That's not good.

Dr Stickler has the job of delivering difficult diagnosis with sometimes little hope for improvement or cure. I find him very professional, knowledgeable, down to earth with what's available, and gentle with the patient. Although I don't always like what he's saying, it allows me to know the path ahead so difficult decisions can be made and a course of action planned.

For 15 years I saw a doctor that didn't look outside the box and pretty much dismissed any questions that I had. Dr Stickler not only listens to me, but actually looked into my theories about my condition. I was having 12-14 migraines a MONTH!! Yes I know, it was not easy to function. I am now down to 3-5 a month now. Wish I had found this guy sooner!!
