Our experience with Dr Sugar's office was nothing less than stellar. Everyone we interacted with was extremely personable and knowledgable. Time was taken with every step and never felt rushed or in a 'factory' atmosphere. Karissa, Juliana and Jordan were so kind and caring. They were very positive and understood my anxieties about healing and getting back into my regular activities. Cannot say enough positive comments about Dr Sugar's office!

Dr. David Sugar is a wonderful orthopedic doctor. My nephew broke his ankle playing sports and was referred to Dr. Sugar. After he was treated so well with a great recovery, the rest of the family began to seek his expertise too. I went to see him for severe pain in my hip. I had already visited 3 doctors, PT and numerous tests, with no diagnosis or relief. Dr. Sugar took his time during my initial intake with a determination to identify the issue. After listening to me and my symptoms, he reordered an MRI at a different angle and was able to identify inflamed pockets of arthritis. After 2 years I am so relieved to have an answer and to now be on a road to recovery. He also helped my son with severe trigger lock on his hand. I would be remiss if I did not rave about his assistant Jesse. What an asset to the office! Jesse is smart, informative, patient, and such an overall nice person. The office staff and X-ray technician are all professional and efficient as well. Overall 10+++

In July, I started having problems with my right knee with intense pain and swelling. I had meniscus surgery in 2018 performed by Dr. Sugar with great success. The surgery I had in 2018 took care of the pain issues on the left side of my right knee, but now the right side was damaged. Dr. Sugar came to my rescue once again, and we scheduled a knee replacement. Unfortunately, due to the Covid situation in Florida, all significant surgeries were not being performed. Dr. Sugar gave me another solution with meniscus surgery on the right side of my knee. Dr. Sugar fixed my pain issue once again. The Sugar Orthopedics office is above average in care, including Stephanie, Susan, Megan, Michael, and the entire staff. They treat everyone like family and not numbers which are hard to find in the industry. Dr. Sugar treated me with great care and concern like a family member. I have lived in places from New York, Los Angeles, and South Carolina which doctors don't even come close.

Dr. Sugar is an excellent doctor. He diagnoses the problem and then explains what can be done to either fix it or make it much more comfortable. He is quite knowledgeable and shares that knowledge with his patients. Dr. Sugar is easy to relate to and very interactive with patients. I trust him and I am glad that I can call him my doctor.

This review comes from several experiences roughly over a 10 yr span not just one occasion…. Dr Sugar is by far the absolute best doctor you will ever find! He is also the smartest Doctor I have ever met! He is professional, polite, and cares about you as his patient. He wants to make sure you have a full healthy recovery. He pin pointed my knee issue immediately and we have taken the proper measures to heal it. I am on the road to recovery! His staff from Mrs. Stephanie, the front desk ladies, the nurses, and including his 2 P.A.’s are very knowledgeable, polite, and caring at all times. They make sure they explain everything they are doing and educating you along the way so you are never left in the dark. If its a question they don't have an answer to they get the correct one or ask doc. You are always greeted with a smile and treated like family not just another patient or dollar sign. You could not ask or find a better Doctor, surgeon, or group of people in my opinion!

I would give a zero rating if that were possible. Due to an incorrect address when my wife researched his office, she was 15 minutes late for her first appointment with Dr. Sugar. The lady at the desk told her she could not be seen even though she explained to her that she has been falling and needed help. The desk person said she would compensate my wife by not charging her a $25 late fee. How gracious of her. The waiting room was full. Do you suppose the doctor was taking those patients on time or was he compensating them for him being late? i doubt it. Has anyone ever been to a doctor and been taken on time or have you waited as long as a hour at their convenience? Supposedly, Dr. Sugar is a good doctor, but we will never know. As far as the agreement at the bottom of this page that says I or my family member have received treatment, my remarks qualify my checking the box.

Dr Sugar has been our orthopedic surgeon for several years; a knee replacement for my husband yielded wonderful results. He and his staff explain, answer and clarify. It’s a busy office, but we’ve never had trouble getting an appointment. I would refer my family and friends without reservation.

Dr Sugar and his entire staff are the best! We just moved to the area and I unfortunately fell and tore my meniscus. Dr Sugar came highly recommended to me by a trusted family member, and I was lucky enough to get right in. Very thankful to have found such a professional and caring place! EXCELLENT. I feel so lucky and blessed to have found Dr. Sugar and his entire team. After X-rays, Dr. Sugar explained all options starting with PT, possible injections, and potential for surgery as a last option. The amazing quality of Dr. Sugar's expertise and results, the entire teamwork experience, and the efficiency and sincere kindness of Dr. Sugar and his staff are perfection. I have been to Dr. Sugar’s office twice now. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Sugar is thorough in explaining the treatment plan in a lay persons language and is very down to earth. I have been to other Orthopedic Doctors and Dr. Sugar is the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of his speciality.

I visited Dr. Sugar’s office today. The staff was friendly and welcoming and professional at the same time. I felt at ease after my consultation due to the care and explanation that was shown to me. This office is also very punctual, which is always a BIG plus with me.

Doctor Sugar has been our family orthopedic doctor for many years now. He has treated my husband on several occasions, and I have been to him a dozen times. He and his staff make you feel at home and like family. He is very personable and takes the time to listen to your needs. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Sugar Orthopedics! I came in while visiting family in FL after aggravating a previous injury. I was seen by Megan Thompson, and she was very kind and thoroughly explained my x-rays and treatment options. I was really impressed by how helpful the staff was in helping me after I'd returned home to MD. They uploaded all my relevant documents to the patient portal so I could access them and even mailed the CD of my MRI to my home address for my records.

Dr Sugar and his Office Mgr are the BEST! We stumbled upon Dr Sugar yrs ago when my daughter was recovering from a broken leg. He is great kids and makes every effort to make them comfortable. It is funny to watch such a big man acting goofy with his patient. More important than his demeanor is his knowledge and skill. Over the yrs I think every member of my family has needed Dr Sugar. Everything from broken legs, ankles, wrists, shoulders, and back. I saw him for a back injury. When it was determined that my back needed something out of his area of practice, Dr. Sugar made phone calls to ensure I was seen by a doctor he trusted. Not many people know how charitable the Sugars are and how much they give back both on a local and global scale. I have witnessed acts of kindness in his office. Dr. Sugar also frequents Haiti to treat patients that are in need of care. Patients that without the sacrifices of both Dr. and Mrs Sugar, would continue to suffer without treatment.

Prompt,very pleasant and efficient

Dr Sugar fixed a Jones fracture of my left foot in October. Had to return yesterday to see Meagan for sore hip. That office is the best. Friendly knowledgeable and on time. I would recommend them to everyone. The best from the front desk to Dr Sugar. So lucky to have found them!!!!
