Dr. David Swastek, MD

This review is a little over 4 months overdue! Dr. D Swastek made such an impression on me that not even my baby brain could make me forget what a wonderful experience I had with him! In the height of Covid delivering my first child I was nervous among other emotions and Dr. Swastek made me feel like I was on cloud 9. We talked as if we've known each other for years. The conversation being light, positive, upbeat, reassuring and understanding. My deliver wasn't easy and I was looking forward to my epidural even though it was midnight and induced labor for over 24-hours. Dr. Swastek made me laugh and with clear, easy instructions reassured me everything was going to be alright. He took extra precautions and listened to my concerns. He made my birthing experience a pleasant one, St. Joe's is lucky to have him as was I! I can only hope our paths cross again and that I am blessed to have another healthy baby. Thank you so much Dr. Swastek, I will never forget you and your hospitality!

What a phenomenal anesthesia experience on labor and delivery for the birth of my daughter! Dr. Swastek was extremely professional, friendly and very quick at placing my epidural at a time where I was desperate for pain relief. I was told that he was the very best and I wasn't disappointed. He has an excellent bedside manner and explained everything that he was doing. Dr. Swastek made me very comfortable and injected a little humor at appropriate times to help me relax. He checked on me several times to make sure I was getting good pain relief. Wonderful anesthesiologist!

Never have I bleed more from an epidural or had so much ongoing pain after than from the epidural given by Dr Swastek. I’d rather not get one than ever get another editorial from him.

I highly recommend Dr. Swastek. He has a calming and professional presence. He made me comfortable for my procedure and made sure all of my questions were answered. He has a great bedside manner and the medical world needs more like him.

Dr. Swastek went above and beyond to ensure that my epidural was administered quickly and properly. He was attentive and precise. I am so grateful for his care!

Dr. Swastek was amazing from the time he walked through the door until he had finished the epidural. He thoroughly explained each step of the process and placed the epidural start to finish in about 10 minutes. I really appreciated his communication throughout the procedure and the speed at which the medication was then delivered. He was so quick to respond when I urgently and at the last minute decided to move forward with the epidural. He even checked in the following morning. AMAZING work!

Dr. Swastek was amazing. Not only did he handle my epidural with the utmost care and precision but he also had an amazing calming way about him.
