Dr. David Tenembaum, MD

Dr. Tenembaum is sharp, experienced, professional, and incredibly personable with a ton of patience and a great bedside manor. He's very conscious of his patients health but also their wallets. he did my upper endoscopy and it was so easy and painless, highly recommend him even if you don't live in Queens - he's worth the trip.

I can not believe how I was treated by this doctor. I was referred to Dr. Tenembaum by my primary care doctor who was very concerned about the severity of my symptoms. During my first appointment, instead of discussing my symptoms with me and coming up with a possible treatment plan, he lectured me about my weight. He said that my diet was the reason for my stomach issues. He didn’t even ask me any questions about my diet, he made an assumption by looking at me. I sat in his office crying and telling him how much pain I was in, and he had the nerve to tell me it was related to my weight and diet and that losing the weight would make my stomach problems go away. Dr. Tenembaum then decided to try and use a scare tactic by listing off every disease I will get if I do not lose weight. Needless to say, I did not make a follow up appointment and I have found a new doctor who has come to with a treatment plan for me.

Not knowing what to expect. So when I arrived I was greeted and given some forms to fill out. Before I was finished I was called to the back for some vitals then taken to my area and was explained what was going to happen the pros and cons of the procedure. The doctor came in talked to me and the anesthesiologists came in and asked me about my best vacation before I knew it, I was in the recovery area and the doctor came and told me about the finding. It was really that easy and they made me feel comfortable I would highly recommend.

Dr. Tenembaum is wonderful. Smart, engaged, considerate --- explains everything and makes sure I understand. The entire staff is great as well. Helpful and engaged and professional. I really like this practice. BTW- I was referred by my daughter who shares my feelings about Dr. Tenembaum and the office.

Never met a doctor so professional yet sweet! I highly appreciate him and prefer going to him and because I know I'm in safe hands.

Let’s start off with this Dr. Tenembaum is an amazing Dr. I have gone to multiple Gastro’s in the past for everyone to tell me my stomach pain is in my head and I’m fine to see a psychiatrist. But loosing so much weight not being able to eat anything without pain. Drs giving me medicine that never worked telling me to keep taking it it will work in time. (Never helped) then I found this office and said why not give them a shot. Expecting them to tell me the same thing. But NOO! As many tests that Dr. Tenembaum ordered I have done every single one from endoscopies, colonoscopies, bloodwork, ct scan ect. after all said and done this amazing Dr has now figured out what is wrong with me and has taken the next step in helping me.

Best in business. Dr Tenembaum and his team are the best gastro team in NYC. They helped me and my friends. I will also recommend this one to my family and other people. Thanks for everything.

Dr. Tenembaum was great, he treated my abdominal pain and explained very clearly to me why it was happening. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Tenembaum is so, so nice and easy to talk to. I had my first routine colonoscopy screening done here recently thanks to an unfortunate family history of colorectal cancers. Various staff were so helpful answering my questions beforehand and helping me figure out what prep to get when insurance continued to deny my prep prescription. The facility itself is really nice inside. The nurses are so kind. I never felt uncomfortable once! The procedure was done quickly and I was back home in no time at all. I was back to normal by the next day and staff called to check on me after the weekend. Great place! Good doctors are hard to find these days and I'm thrilled to have found one.

Dr Tenembaum is awesome!! I would highly recommend him. He doesn’t keep you waiting which is usually unheard of in a doctor’s office. He is very personable and takes the times to chat about any concerns or questions you may have . He is easy to talk and explain things well. Dr. Tenembaum is a truly excellent Doctor. He took the time to explain to me exactly why he was recommending a colonoscopy and clearly explained what I would gain by doing it.
