Highly Recommend!
I found myself with a very sore toe just a few weeks after my son was born. When I called Dr. Ungar’s office I had the pleasure of working with Jackie. She was able to troubleshoot my issue over the phone and worked me into the schedule as soon as possible. She was equally as pleasant in person when I arrived for my appointment at their office off of Grand River Ave. Dr. Ungar himself is a ball of positivity as soon as he walks in the room. He was very gentle, thorough, and kind. He explained everything he was doing and kept the cure to as minimally invasive as possible. He was extremely personable and didn’t have a problem keeping a light and fun conversation. Definitely a plus while you are getting your foot numbed! He went out of his way to consider the fact that I was nursing and try to make sure I wouldn’t need any medications that could affect that. I walked out with a foot that felt tremendously better and a smiley face bandaid. 100% recommend!

Wonderful experience! Office staff are friendly, and the doctor is top-notch. This doctor actually tries to save your nail rather than removing it permanently. I used to run all the time and have damaged my toenails. I had a toenail that look like it was growing into the new toenail. My toenails have all been cut down and I was given some great tips on what I can do for the future. The doctor has a great sense of humor. I have found my podiatrist!

I had incurred a foot injury at our lakefront home after stepping barefoot on a bird or animal claw. I was finally referred to Dr. Unger by my PCP after a trip to Urgent care, two trips to an Emergency Room, and a visit to my primary physician over a painful 10 day period. Dr. Unger made time to see me the next day, quickly understood the problem, and skillfully removed a piece of claw from my foot. Throughout the process, Dr. Unger and his staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
