Outstanding Physician
Dr. David Wise is a truly exceptional physician. He possesses an incredible depth of knowledge and understanding of his field. I always felt confident that I was receiving the most state of the art care. In addition, he is an extremely sensitive, thoughtful, and empathic individual. His clinical abilities are matched only by his compassion and his understanding of the emotional complexities when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. As a health care professional, myself, it was important for me to find a doctor who treats the whole patient. Dr. Wise greatly exceeds those expectations, and I would recommend him highly and without hesitation.

THE BEST
Dr. Wise isn’t your regular doctor. Rather than focusing on treatment plans alone, Dr. Wise took the time to learn about my father’s lifestyle and what treatment plan would work best for him. Obviously, he cares for his patients and wants the best for them. Without his thought process, my father wouldn’t have found the perfect treatment plan that now has him in remission. If you’re looking for a wonderful, caring, and dedicated doctor, Dr. Wise is the best choice you could make.

Top Doc
I have been a patient of Dr. David Wise since May 2022 and have only positive comments. To sum up my experience with him I would characterize him as a good listener, compassionate, patient, and thorough in his explanations. I never feel rushed during my appointments with him and he takes the time to answer any and all questions. Because of his demeanor, knowledge and experience, I’m confident that my battle with prostate cancer will be successful.

Thank you for the joy of life!
I recall my doctor telling me that I may have about 36 months of life if treatment didn’t work. He then told me he was going to send me to a young smart doctor. A few days later I meet Dr. Wise and immediately he sent me for all different kind of exams , blood, genetic testing, scans and others. He formulated a plan of treatment and till this day his honest, professionalism and awesome bedside manners allows me to think about my future, especially now that the tumors are not there. I know it’s far from over but having Dr. Wise on my side has given me hope and joy that i once did not have. It is truly a blessing having such a caring smart doctor that takes time to know me and the cancer im battling. He is truly a godsend!

Excellent care with a team approach
I am a healthcare professional, after having a radical prostatectomy with a rising PSA, I was advised by my surgeon to consult with an oncologist. After a review of oncologists on the Internet, I chose Dr Wise since he is a specialist with prostate cancer and utilizes cutting edge treatment methods based upon experience and research. I have been been very happy about my choice. Dr Wise takes his time with each visit and listens to my needs and provides a genuine concern for improving quality of life with solutions to help in a positive way. I would highly recommend Dr Wise and his staff at NYU. Dr Wise and his PA, Tiffany are excellent in providing care and communicating in the best interests of the patient.

The best Doctor ever
Since the first day that I met Dr. Wise, I entered into a different world. He spent more than 40 minutes with me; he showed care and made me easy, talking about my odyssey for the past 11 years. Doctors after doctors, hospitals and private clinics nothing! I travel to luminaries in Europa, Brazil, and Canada. Bla Bla Bla and Bla. Dr. Wise went directly to the problem, and after six months, I started walking, biking, trekking the Dolomites, and sleeping without pain. After another two months, Cancer? Gone! Now twenty-two miles on my rusty road bike every day. He performed a miracle and gave me back my life; I am now 80 years old. Catch me if you dare. I am running, and I will not stop for you. My English grammar is inferior. Not my life now! See you on the road. Dr. Wise Grazie, Thanks, and God bless you.

EXCELLENT
I have had the good fortune to have been recommended to Dr. Wise by my oncologist on Long Island; his reputation of professionalism, knowledge of clinical trials and innovation is known throughout the medical community. I have been battling a very aggressive form of prostate cancer for the last five years and he has never given up on me; the trial that he recently moved me into is now seeing the most promising results yet. He is very intense and focused, you want that in a research oncologist. So come prepared with your questions and, if you can, bring someone as another set of ears. In my experience, his level of care is unparalleled and I am deeply grateful to him. NYU is lucky to have him and he also has a great team which raises the comfort level concerning all!

Excellent
I would think that being an oncologist wouldn’t be the lightest or easiest profession to be in, as dealing with this disease of cancer is harrowing. I have been a patient of Dr. Wise for several years and he has been the most caring and upbeat and professional doctor in my treatment, always attentive, concerned, and reliable information delivered in a professional manner. I would say he has provided me with an extended quality of life and continues to do so in every way he can in dealing with this wretched disease. Hi would highly recommend Dr Wise to anyone who is dealing with cancer.

I complete agree with the above review. Dr. Wise medically cleared a patient for release from NYU Langone to a nursing home while still very sick, without a diagnosis and for a condition he does not treat. He claimed that there was nothing more that could be done for the patient in the hospital and the rest needed to be done from a nursing home on an outpatient basis. The patient was immobile and suffering from a brain disorder. We were appalled by his manner, his arrogance, his obvious lack of empathy and his “expert” opinions on conditions outside of his specialty. We immediately asked to speak to another doctor. It was decided that the patient remain in the hospital for further testing and remained there for over two weeks after Dr Wise cleared him for release. Appalling.

In my personal observation of Dr. David Wise on multiple occasions in dealing with his patient who happens to be my client, he is extremely rude and arrogant. He was very judgmental toward his patient (my client) upon first meeting him. He lacks social skills and compassion. He also lacks an essential understanding of psychosocial factors impacting his patients’ health and engagement in healthcare. IF you are lucky enough to be able to work exclusively with Dr. Wise’s Nurse Practitioner, Tiffany Tomberlin, she is wonderful and he is fortunate to have her, as she is probably the reason he still has patients. But I would be very wary to recommend Dr. Wise to anyone. He has left a very sour taste in my mouth. He may be intellectually smart, but sadly he doesn’t seem to get that being emotionally intelligent is just as important—especially when treating cancer survivors, who come in all shapes, sizes, races and backgrounds, for Heaven’s sake.
