Extremely dissapointing & shocking behavior
I came out of my appointments with Dr. Witter extremely dissapointed & frustrated. His bedside manner is simply aweful but I was willing to put that aside...Dr. Witter refused to listen to my complaints about where in my body I was experiencing pain...His ego completely took over when I mentioned any other Doctor's diagnosis or advice throughout the years-He acted as though those professionals didn't know anything & that he knows best. Even still, I was willing to return back to him. During my last visit, He practically yelled at me when I stated that I was feeling pain in a particular muscle which he disagreed with....I have never felt so 'unheard' by a doctor. Even if a doctor disagrees, he should never raise his voice like that to his patients-His behavior was completely uncalled for & I will not be returning. I am not one to leave bad reviews so the fact that I am called to do this, speaks volumes of my experience.

Best Spinal Doctor
When I went to see Dr Witter I could hardly walk for all the pain in my back & legs. After an MRI he suggested a lumbar Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI). Within a day of the injection no more pain.

Shocked to see so many 5 star reviews
After30 years of back pain and issues, I had a new pain that felt totally different. I couldn’t even sit upright in a chair. Went to Dr Witter and had X-rays done. When he came in to discuss them, he says everything looks good, which upset me because I knew how much pain I was in. He gives me a disgusted look and asked if I was about to cry, which I was. He made me feel dumb for trying to figure out why I was in so much pain. He also told me that chiropractors aren’t real doctors and not worth seeing. Went to a different orthopedic doctor at Wexner. A steroid shot and 8 months of PT later, my pain is still just as bad or worse. Finally went to a chiropractor for a few weeks and I’m almost back to normal. Absolutely disgusted at the way Dr Witter made me feel, and glad I didn’t listen to his “advice” that chiropractors are worthless.

I would recommend Dr. Witter
I like Dr. Witter. He actually did an examination of me and made me feel like he is really looking for the “cause” of my symptoms. He listened to what I had to say and advised a plan to figure out what is causing my symptoms. I have high hopes with him, unlike any doctor I have been to prior for my pain. He is very personable and did not rush me through the appointment.

Great care !!!
Dr Witter has been taking care of me for about 4 years now with treatment for my lower back pain. After my fusion in my back in 2017 he has been able to help me manage my pain. His staff has always been friendly and great on getting back with me on any questions.

Satisfied
Dr. Witter was as helpful as he could be as my tingling needs further testing to evualte what the cause is. He explained what needed to be done and that PT was required in case a MRI was needed and PT may help with the issue.

I went in for a lower back strain because I was still having a good amount of pain and numbness and tingling down my legs. Dr. Witter was very thorough in his examination and suggested an MRI to make sure something more serious was not going on with my back. He explained what that all entailed and what the next course of action would be. I felt relieved after my visit and reassured that I would receive the best care.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Witter?
Dr. Witter treated me for lower back pain. I found his demeanor to be distant and uncomfortable. It seemed as though he was predisposed with a diagnosis and treatment absent of thorough examination. I referred to Witter from a surgeon within the same group. The treatment I received from the two was polar opposite. Dr. Witter being the low end of the scale. Based on other reviews of both doctors it seems my experience is consistent with the others. Just, NOT GOOD.
