Dr. David Zirkle, DO

I called this office to become a new patient after a friend recommended I do not ever write reviews This doctor declined me because i said I lived a healthy lifestyle and prefer not to take medication but I still see importance of a western medicine Dr. so basically since I won’t agree to the drugs they offer he is not interested in me as patient? How disgusting is that. I can be healthy & still need regular check ups & blood work. This is very sad that a Dr refuses you unless he can’t make tons of money off of you.

I don't understand low reviews of Dr Zirkle. He always takes great care of me, and is always polite. One sick visit, I walked down the hall, toward him. He said, go to the ER now, we will credit or refund your co-pay. I went to the ER and was promptly admitted, after a quick exam. I had pneumonia and sepsis. I spent 6 days in the hospital, and was very thankful to Dr. Zirkle.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Zirkle. I am mainly writing this review to contradict all of the one-star reviews. Dr. Zirkle has never rushed through an appointment, answers questions, and is polite and compassionate. Would recommend to family and friends.

Hard to be seen. Lack of compassion when I'm seen. Was 3 minutes late and was sent home. Next appointment 6 weeks out. I don't need urgent care, or the emergency room. Need to be seen by a compassionate primary care provider in a timely manner.

I trust Dr. Zirkle. He always listens carefully and answers my questions.

Dr. Zirkle disclosed my medical conditions to an attorney without a court order simply because he found out I was suing the school his children were attending. The school violated federal law by expelling my son due to his disability. Dr. Zirkle violated my privacy and the oath he took as a physician, when he received a call from the school's attorney and disclosed my medical conditions without a court order. He allows his personal beliefs to interfere w the care he provides his patients.

My visit with Dr Zirkle was great! The staff was professional and nice. Dr Zirkle was on time, thorough, explained things well and left me feeling calm, informed, and confident in treatment moving forward. The negative reviews I read don't make sense.

Was first visit. He walked in and immediately said I was too complicated, out of his scope, and he would not be seeing me.

Very good experience. We are brand new to Colorado and the Springs area. Dr. Zirkle saw my 18 year old daughter, my wife and then me within a few days and all of us were very happy with his patience and attentiveness to our concerns. Off to a good start, and so far, pretty impressed with Dr. Zirkle and UC Health in general.

If I could give him 0 stars I would. The MOMENT he walked in to the room he went on about how I shouldn’t be there and I was taking time away from “his patients”, who canceled on him and was the reason I was able to schedule the day before in the first place.?? He said I couldn’t be there because I had another primary care doctor, um I have the freedom to go to any doctor I want at anytime. I should’ve left as soon as he walked in but hung on to the hope he could give me some sort of answer, just to be disrespected my whole 5 minutes in the room and for him to say he can’t do anything and just “don’t have my anxiety under control”. It is truly baffling this man has a career in medicine with the way he went about my appt. I am literally paying to be there and get answers and you kicked me out after filling your empty spot?? get fired

I have seen Dr. Zirkle multiple times, and find him to be cold and condescending. He did not take me seriously when I reported an emergency hospitalization for a severe liver injury until I finally showed him my enzyme numbers. He comes across like I am wasting his time, and has zero compassion. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he might be having a bad day the first few times I visited. But I will now be looking for a doctor who cares about his patients.

He is fine as long as you only get a cold or flu. I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia. He refused to send me to a specialist that knew anything about this. He refused to prescribe the amount of B12 I needed to help my symptoms. He never even asked what my continuing symptoms were. He actually told me to go find another Dr. So I did! I moved my husband too. I called his office to find out when my husband last had a physical so I could schedule it with the new Dr. My husband is 80 and he hadn't done a physical on him in 5 years! Zirkle would rather have his old patients die than treat them!

Dr Zirkle takes his time and truly listens to your health concerns. He isn’t afraid to refer you to a specialist if he needs more answers outside his expertise. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

I’ve been going to Dr. David Zirkle for more than 14 years. He’s attentive, personable and treats us like an extension of his family. I will travel far and wide to see Dr.Zirkle.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Zirkle for over 12 years and he has always been friendly, compassionate and attentive. I recommend him to my friends and my whole family goes to see him. He’s a very caring doctor who has helped me through many health problems!

This dr. Zirkle told me he doesn't see patients old like me and I'm 57 and he only sees patients that have one thing wrong with them and I had about two or three things and he wouldn't accept me as Anna patient and he charged me $74 to tell me that and he and I paid Co fee of $35 this guy is so unsure of himself lack of experience or lack of knowledge that he can accept somebody that has two or three things wrong with them why be a doctor if you're not going to help the sick he humiliated me and he was disrespectful and the only reason I'm going to pay this bill is because I don't want to ruin my credit I'm a business person and credit is very important to me don't go to him he won't help you if you're healthy go see him

Started seeing this doctor in 2012. In my last visit, I hadn't gone in a while, so he told me since I didn't come see him at least once a year that he didn't want me as a patient. He told me to leave. What kind of doctor does that? So what, I didn't come see you. Basically he is saying that if you don't provide him with a steady inflow of money, he doesn't need you. In my opinion, he has very low ethics.

He's rude

This is one rude, passive-aggressive and weird physician., I saw him for 14 years, and he was seldom helpful or communicative. I canned him today because he's also less than knowledgeable and provably unreliable. My insurance company asked him to consult on a procedure HE recommended. "There's no way in hell I am spending 20 minutes on hold with your insurance company," Zirkle said. I wish the best for hi and hope he finds valuable work in a field outside medicine., where he's a menace.

Not only can the office staff be rude, but also Dr Zirkle. He is knowledgeable, but is very rude and rushes, not providing much detail.
