The Absolute Best!
The reception staff are professional, kind, & outstanding. Never rude, dismissive, or seemingly in a hurry like so many other receptions are at other offices. The nurses are always great, even when very busy, they're calm & take excellent care.Dr. Schissel is without a doubt the best PCP I've had in 25 years. She knows her stuff. I've worked in healthcare for over 20yrs now & am currently a Dr. of OT. So I've nearly seen it all. Dr. Schissel is Always right on point with accurate diagnosis & treatment. By far most intelligent medical Doc I've meet, with wonderful bedside manner. That is a tough combo to find! For example I had a mix-up with a pharmacy. She spoke with me directly on the phone twice that day to help figure it all out. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schissel and the entire care team there. Grateful I found them, through word of mouth, and switched over to them for all my health care needs. If she can't treat it, they'll refer you to the best who can.

Negligent
Dr Schissel performed a physical for my family member recently, in which the blood pressure recorded by the nurse was sky high and a lot of sugar was recorded in the urine test. When asked if these findings were normal, the nurse said yes and the doctor said absolutely nothing. We are following up with a real doctor.

The Doctor is in!! She’s the best family medical doctor I’ve ever had in my 55 years of life. She’s also been my son’s only doctor and he’s about to start 8th grade & he loves her, as well! She’s also got a “Cracker Jack” staff who really care about their patients! Thank goodness for Jordan Creek Family Medicine!

Everything and everyone has always been so caring.
I have known Dr. Schissel for many years and appreciate that she is straight forward and tells you what you need. I had been going to an internal medicine doctor who always sent me to a specialist. Wasn’t sure why I saw them to always be referred. I know Dr. Schissel will refer me if needed. Thank you all.

I have had nothing but great professional experiences with Dr. Schissel. Nurse Rosa, is very kind and always listens also. When ever I have a question I ask it and it is answered. When I have any testing done, it is Dr. Schissel herself that calls me with the results. That does not happen at any other Doctor I have been to in my 50 years. I like her no kid gloves approach. We are adults and should not have to be coddled. I also like that Dr. Schissel has residents in her practice. This is crucial for these young doctors and Dr. Schissel is aiding in their futures. I have never had an issue making an appointment.

Excellent, but the nurse's attitude needs to be taken with a pinch of salt and some humor. Dr. Schissel is really good with her diagnoses and also participates all the time with training medical students.

Dr Schissel is a typical GP. Listens and is personable, throws antibiotics at you. Refers you if an issue continues and She believes could be a symptom of a larger underlying issue. Every bill says I am overdue, if I don't pay the bill will be sent to a collection agency. I always pay my bill when I get it. It has taken more than two weeks just to transfer records to another doctor's office.

I saw Dr. Schissel wanting a physical and to discuss a recent experience I had in which I believe I may have miscarried. A med student came in first and I told her I need to discuss a possible miscarriage. When Dr. Schissel came in, she instructed her student to perform a pap smear. I've had 2 before; however, this was the most painful. I was clenching my fists in pain, to which she instructed her student to "just shove it in" and I couldn't believe it. She didn't even perform the physical!

Love Dr. Schissel how ever went for an appointment to get birth control to stop having periods because mine are awful and extremely painful, her nurse gave me a lecture on how I am to young to decide not to have children (I am 40 just FYI) and in a condisending voice to me she will have Dr . explain periods and why we have them ( I work in the medical field) I know why we have them, she overstepped her bounds and is luck I don't report her

Today I stopped having dr Schissel as my PCP after being talked to the way she talked to me today and told she would no longer be my doctor concerning diabetes. When it got to be too much or I was too much of a bother with it she backed out. Refused to write note about missing work but changed meds and insulin and thinks it should be all better in a day. I explained my stress and anxiety and she told me to suck it up and get back to work. Not professional at all! I used to respect her.
