Wouldn't Recommend
I will not return as a patient, he has poor listening skills and is too short and always seems rushed. I try to ask questions, and he is just plain rude. He never makes you feel better and kind of makes you feel like he is smarter then you and looking down on the patient.

I will never see this neurologist again. Both he and the resident talked down to me as if I were a child during my entire appointment. They would not give me the opportunity to speak about my issues that brought me there and continually interrupted me. I’ve never been treated so poorly by medical personnel.

Academic medicine benefits patients and physicians
Dr. Naritoku is highly professional and is helping me deal with an unusual neurological issue. Because USA is a teaching hospital, patients see medical students and residents before seeing Dr. Naritoku. This is the strength of teaching hospitals; medical professionals (e.g., residents) are exposed to the latest research while assigned to experienced, fully credentialed teaching staff members.

He is a teaching physician so I see a different resident every time I visit the office and rarely see Dr. Naritoku for more than a couple of minutes. However, this is not even the worst part. The staff is careless and lazy. They were supposed to schedule an MRI and stated they would call me back. They never did either. My pharmacy kept calling them to clarify some information on the prescription, but the doctor's staff would never call back and thus my prescription was cancelled. I could go on.
