I’ve been going to Dr. Shlain for a few years, and am now switching doctors because I’ve been consistently unsatisfied. She’s not a bad doctor but she makes no effort to try to figure out what’s going on and instead takes incessant notes. The conversation feels like a one way street with me telling her all of my symptoms and her not giving me any insight. In fact, I came to her with stomach pain 6 months ago and she brushed it off. Now I have an ulcer that could have probably been avoided had she told me to go see a specialist.

As a middle aged male I was a bit apprehensive about engaging with a female physician. After my first physical, the time and attention paid by Dr. Shlain-Frink and her sincere approach to improving my health. I recommend her without reservation. She’s arguably the best doctor I have ever had and I’ve had many.
