Dr. Debora Sportiello, MD

I’m not sure if it was miscommunication, although that seems almost impossible, but I didn’t have the best experience. My concerns seemed to be disregarded and I felt very unacknowledged. Sometimes it also seemed as if I’d get an attitude for simple situations, and I felt like a burden as a patient. I ended up switching DRs and am very happy with my decision.

I never thought I could replace my ob/gyn when she retired last year. I saw Dr Sportiello today and it was a fantastic experience. She was very thorough and very gentle. I am just thrilled to work with her.

I went to Dr. Sportiello for a discussion about birth control and she made insensitive comments about my weight as well as made overly religious comments about a procedure I was looking into. I felt extremely uncomfortable and will not be going back to her again.

I have gone to Dr. Sportiello for many years. She is always willing to listen and provides you with options. She is caring and kind and has a great staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I've gone to Deb Sportiello for years. I love her, she knows her stuff, is level headed.I find her to be compassionate, great listener, calm and reasonable, makes great eye contact and works with your physical and emotional needs. Because she is a wife, mother and grandchildren, who also works, she gets where women are coming from. She's had the same assistant for all the years I've been there, Lynette, and she's great too. I love that consistency. I thinks she's the bomb, may she never retire.

Dr. Sportiello had concerns at one of my appointments that I had gained weight that week. I was told to start dieting. I also complained to her about a terrible pain on my right side under my ribs, she told me all pregnancies have pains. I switched providers that day. I never made it to my 1st appt with my new OB because I was admitted to ICU that weekend. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I had all the signs and she ignored them. I delivered at 31 weeks due to her poor care

I had poor experiences with Dr. Sportiello as my OB/GYN physician. It was my first pregnancy, I was new to the area and I had received her name through a friend. Dr. Sportiello was insensitive to my questions regarding symptoms and concerns. One of my main concerns is she missed an important factor in my health. I switched drs after a couple visits. My new dr discovered I had hypothyroidism based on my week 7 blood work but wasn't diagnosed until week 20 due to Dr. Sportiello's lack of care.
