Patients since early 2000's
Dr Kolb and Madison Family Medicine used to be the best GP in town. Not long after Covid started she quit seeing patients that needed sick appointments thus forcing us to go to a walk-in clinic and pay a higher copay. She will see you for basic bloodwork and checkups but not much else beyond that. My husband, who works two very time consuming ministry jobs, had to cancel a couple of appointments resulting in Dr. Kolb refusing to see him when the hospital diagnosed him with an aneurysm. Dr Kolb sent him a letter stating the diagnosis and that he needed to see a specialist for it. The letter also stated to let her know if he needed anything in the next 30 days. He then called to asked her for a referral to a specialist and she refused to help. If she was going to refuse to 'help' she should've just left that line out of the letter. I guess the letter was her way of covering herself legally. It's such a shame to write this because she used to be so sweet and pleasant.

Truly Awful
Dr. Kolb has cared for my family for years. I left years ago because I didn't like her practice. My mother continued with her until recently when she finally switched to a new provider that acted like more than an urgent care physician. Dr. Kolb ignored my mothers worries about a cough she has had for over a YEAR. She told her it was 'Acid Reflux' and she was 'Getting Older.' I listened in on some of her telemedicine calls with Dr. Kolb and I was disgusted at the condescending and degrading way she spoke to my mother who she has treated for YEARS. It was as if my mother was not worthy of care because she had surpassed the age of 60. Now my mom has a new provider and they took her seriously. Today we found out she has a mass in her lung. I'm furious and hope you do not put your life or let your loved ones put their lives in the care of this person. I honestly think she needs to be evaluated by the medical board. If she had shown some compassion and ran some tests like ANY doctor should.

I was a patient with Dr. Kolb for 3 years. Every visit I was scolded and talked down to like I was stupid by both Kolb and her nurse Pam.She would never take care of problems herself. Always making you see specialist for every little problem. I had several specialists actually tell me that there was no reason for them to see me. That it could have been handled by my GP. If Kolb didn’t think I followed through with her instructions correctly, she would treat me like a child and was always so rude. She would reprimand me for making my own decisions about my own health care and the other doctors I chose to see. I was even scolded for choosing a knee surgeon without her referring me to the one she wanted me to go to. To make matters worse, several times she spoke to my husband about me. Telling him that I was a bad patient and discussing some of my health matters with him without my permission. I finally tired of being bullied and left. Best decision ever. .

She is kind as long as you do exactly as she advises otherwise she has an attitude. She likes to "farm" you out to specialists and chastises you when she thinks you don't follow through with their care even though they have basically released you. When I questioned her about this, she discharged me without even going over my labwork which is why I was there. Of course, I had to pay for my last "office visit" which was just her chastising me from the moment she walked in the door. I guess I erroneously thought the patient was in control of their medical treatment. Her office staff and nurse are exceptional.

Dr. Kolb. is always very kind and shows interest in her patients and their lives. She is always a professional and I trust her completely. She understands that being a family physician is more than just treating your physical well-being. She is concerned about your emotional well-being also. She was so very kind to me when I lost my mother and father-in- law within a two week period. These are the things that you don’t forget and respect in a doctor. I trust her diagnosis and am so glad she is our family physician!

I would highly recommend Doctor KOLB ! I have been seeing her for several years and on every visit, she always takes the time to answer questions. I have never felt like I was being rushed through. When I have issues come up that was outside her scope, she has always pointed me to the best care available.

I have recommended Dr. Kolb to multiple friends and family members. She is EXCELLENT. She is ALWAYS prompt. I've never waited more than 15 minutes in her waiting room and exam room combined. She always leaves room in her schedule for urgent appointment requests. She takes the time to actually talk with her patients and understand their concerns. Her nurses are great. The office is run very efficiently. I am very satisfied with the quality of care she provides.
