Patient
In my 85 yrs I have received care by medical professionals who illuminate patience, understanding and long-term commitment; not taught in the classroom or lab. Dr Martin heads that list! My diagnosis of breast cancer greatly frightened my husband; he went with me to the first visit. Dr Martin spent more than an hour answering our every question and more; eased our anxiety, helped us understand the protocol. Her 33 years of experience speaks to her skill. Patient relations is also important so that Dr Martin gains patient confidence. In surgery she incised in the area least likely to cause clothing discomfort following surgery; she explained her surgery to me and my family. Her staff reflects her values in caring for patients, always available, always answering questions. I am blessed Dr Martin was chosen to be my surgeon and I am very grateful to her for. my care.

Dr. Martin saved my mom’s life. If she had not been in the Emergency Room at the time, my mom would be deceased. The others on duty could not figure out what to do. Dr. Martin was leaving after a surgery and overheard the doctors on duty. She performed emergency surgery which saved my mom. She is our guardian angel.

terrible experience
I waited 2 hours alone in waiting room. Dr or assistant never came out to update me on the delay. I left a message on phone to tell her I was leaving and never received a call back to apologize, etc. Needless to say I will not return

Thank you, Dr. Martin!
I’m so glad I was able to schedule an appointment so quickly to help diagnose this mysterious pain that has been plaguing me 4 months now. Your examination as well as your recommendations were extremely helpful! What a treat to have a doctor who finally could help me!

I went to NH Forsyth ER and was admitted for surgery. Dr. Martin was the ER surgeon that was on that day and performed my surgery. At the post op visit she had to deliver some rather bad news. Her delivery was awful and wasn’t able to answer the questions we had. She ordered other scans after the post op since I would need addition surgery. I had to call to get the results. She never returned my call to interpret the results. To this day she still never called back and we obviously are seeing another surgeon. She is a very strange person with zero personality and zero bed side manner. If you have the choice DO NOT use her for any surgery. Even medical professionals suggested to see a specialist for surgery when they found out who did my initial surgery.

Rude, dismissive, interrupted every sentence—was texting, & talking on phone the entire 3 min consult and as she was leaving while inpatient at NS Forsyth. Will not be my surgeon.
