Dr. Debra Lawrence, MD

I was completely dismissed and openly mocked by Dr. Lawrence because of my concerns. When receiving a second opinion from another gynecologist because my pain and symptoms only got worse, I was promptly diagnosed and treated for not 1, not 2, but 3 issues. I was then referred to specialist to treat a 4th condition once all of my tests came back. All those months of complaining about what was NOT normal for my body, only to be made to feel like an overdramatic woman. What upsets me most is that I doubted myself because of her obvious annoyance with my persistence. In Women's healthcare, especially where some women have a history of sexual trauma, and these types of visits are both frightening and triggering but extremely necessary, it disgusts me that women are still being treated this way. I did contact the office manager and was given an apology, but I still felt compelled to leave this review.

Since I’ve been pregnant. Dr. L has been the only doc I’ve been too & honestly she’s excellent! Love her! So sweet & tells it like it is & that’s what I like! She seems for sure about what she’s talking about! She looks good for her age by the way! When I clicked on this page I did not expect to see 51! Wow! I’d recommend for any woman! The staff is professional as well 5 stars & a thumbs up!????

I love Dr. Lawrence! She and her staff are very knowledgeable and have always listened to me and my concerns and helped me make educated decisions regarding my health. The billing staff is sub-par and definitely not friendly compared to the others.

Dr. Lawrence with her sweet disposition, professionalism, experience was more than capable of supervising my healthcare needs giving me and my husband all the information we needed to make an informed and confident decision about what to do. She made a life-changing situation easier to bear. Her caring and compassionate nature made us feel like one of the family. Her staff was wonderful as well. We would recommend her highly! We are thankful God allowed paths to cross!

I loved Dr lawrence! I actually used to drive 3 hours to see her for my checkups. She is very caring and observant. She caught an issue with my son's kidney from an ultrasound and took great care of my baby and me. I'd definitely refer her to anyone.

Induced me before my due date for no reason. Even when asked later about it, she still had no answer as to why. Was barely in labor for 8 hours and at 4 cm, with no problems, when she said we either do a C-section now or in an hour. When asked why she did a C-section later on, she could give me no answer. When I had a miscarriage 5 years later, she walked into the exam room and said "Why are you crying?" like an irritated parent. She has no compassion and you are nothing but a number to her.

Dr. Lawerence was awesome. She was patient, answered my questions, addressed my concerns, and actually took an interest in how I was feeling and doing. The only drawback was the office staff. The nurses, APNs, and other doctors were great. I just didnt appreciate the sometimes curt attitude of the front desk staff. I also did not like the billing surprises. I would return to Dr. Lawerence. I would just lower my expectations for the office staff so as to avoid disappointment.
