Lobectomy
I had a lobectomy back in Oct 2023. Dr Rekkas told me there would be 'very little pain, maybe a little tingling' before I had the procedure done. She doesn't believe in pain medication. As soon as I awoke from surgery, it took over an hour to get any pain medication after begging for something for the pain I was enduring. She released me the very next day from the Hospital. I feel I needed to be there longer than one day after she removed half of my left lung. She needs to be honest with her patients! It's been almost a year now, and I feel pain every day still. My side is still swollen, and I am still on nerve pain medication from a different doctor, because an over-the-counter pain reliever was her only recommendation for pain. Besides that, the robotic surgery I had looked and felt like I had 5 bullet holes in me. I was in terrible pain for 3 months, crying every day in pain after the surgery! Nobody should ever endure that kind of pain, especially for that long!
