I am so impressed and grateful to have met Dr. Pasi. I've never met any doctors who have such concerns and respect for his patient. At the first visit, he explained the issue I have with the diagram of the heart just like a student. He made sure I understood it. He always responded to my test very promptly and called me in person to explain the test result so I would have a chance to ask any questions. He allows me to choose different option for treatment and respected my preference. He also coordinated my echocardiogram and a referral to another specialist personally so it would get taken care of in a timely manner. I've never seen a doctor who has such a compassion and respect for his patients in spite of his busy schedule. He is the kind of doctor that cares about the patients first. I would recommend him to anyone.

Get a second opinion. . .
Docs are busy folks and unfortunately miss things occasionally. If any cardiologist tells you you have a 'good strong heart' and gives you a bland response for you to 'keep up with your diet and exercise' after you failed a stress test (gasping for air, difficulty breathing, nearly passed out, couldn't make it off the machine without two people helping, etc.), and had an abnormal EKG and you have the warning signs. . . paralyzing chest pains, difficulty breathing, etc. seek a second opinion immediately. That was my mistake as the above applied to me and luckily I was rushed to the ER where another doc cleared the 100 percent blockage in my STEMi (widow-maker) about 9 months after my stress test with my initial cardiologist Dr. Pasi. I am not litigious at all though I'd have a good case here. That said, I am just thankful to be alive. Seek a second opinion folks if you show the warning signs of a heart attack. Overall I received poor care from Dr. Pasi and his stress test team that day.

A required 2D echo is necessary every 6 - months to 1 year. The scan was not performed for over 2.5 years. With no baseline, he referred me to surgeon. Surgeon said everything was OK.

Dr. Pasi is awesome. He saved my life after a heart attack 14 years ago, and has looked after me ever since. I can not give enough praise to his talent and care. I run into people occasionally that he has treated, and they all mirror what I am saying.

He is very nice and friendly. My initial reaction was 5 stars. However, he didn't carefully listen to EVERYTHING, just the first minute. He jumped to a diagnosis with partial information. For example, he didn't have me wear a monitor, which was odd considering my symptoms. I believe that his treatment plan was focused on treating symptoms, and not the root cause. I hope that makes sense to you. When I expressed concerns with his treatment plan (specifically the medication), he was pretty much done with me as a patient. He never addressed my concerns and questions. He told me that I can decide to do what I want in regards to the medication, and I should go to my GP for my high BP. So I went to my GP, who in fact answered my questions and addressed my concerns (this took about 30 seconds). I ended up taking the medication Dr. Pasi prescribed, however it hasn't helped me. So much for his diagnosis and plan. Off to another cardiologist for a second opinion and shelling out money.
