Have a good patience and understands the problem well

Staff demonstratetd compassion. Dr Shangula tuned in right away, asked important questions, and was able to explain to the patient (my mother) and my family what was presenting and the diagnosis. She didnt spend time chatting about her day, life etc., she got right to the assessment while clearly paying attention. The Dr demonstrated respect for Mom's concerns and privacy as she let Mom decide if her family should remain during the evaluation. She was able to get my mother's attention and compliance on her findings including the fact that Mom shouldn't live unassisted. She told Mom she had the right to choose where she would live. The Dr asked Mom if she understood and would she be returning for her next appointment in 3 months and Mom replied in the affirmative. As expected, Mom later expressed she didnt like the Dr's straightforward manner, but given her diagnosis it was to be expected. Lastly, when I sent any message via portal she responded with compassion and empathy.

she was very helpful and she promised that we were going to do everything to get to the bottom of what is going on. she sent referrals for tests promptly, and clarified everything I said to make sure she had it correct. she explained to me the tests and what they were going to be like, and was just all in all very helpful, and I appreciated her.

We saw Dr. Shangula after seeing the AWESOME NP (Charis Klein) for post-care of a Stroke and left feeling frustrated and upset. She rushed through the file and notes, kept asking if we had questions and got cut off when we tried asking more questions or clarification on something. The overall appt felt rushed and she underrated my husband's progress because she didn't ask him questions to find out how much he had progressed in his therapy, etc, which affected what she was recommending for next steps.

I read the first review and can empathize with their experience. I give Dr. Shangula ZERO Stars. Dr Shangula is a rude, self absorbed, unprepared and dismissive provider. She honestly is the worst healthcare provider I’ve ever encountered in my life. I wouldn’t recommend her if she was the last physician on the planet. Find a good neurologist instead of subjecting yourself to this sad uncaring health care provider who only delivers bedside misery and substandard care. It’s not worth risking your health.

My doctor moved to a different state and so I was given to Dr Shangula as a patient. During my first visit I felt as if she did not do any research on me prior to our appointment to get to know my medical condition. I felt like she was rushed and wanted to just get through my appointment to get to her next one. Recently I went in for results from an EEG but the results were not ready (they did not reschedule this appt so I went in for nothing). She then sent me my results over MyChart. I messaged back in this app with my concerns. She called me and was explaining about the mix up with my appointment and why I didnt have results, she then proceeds to get extremely rude and saying that "none of this was her fault". All I did was ask if I could get a second opinion and have her release my files to another doctor. She got defensive saying that she was only trying to help me but then almost hung up on me. I have never received such horrible customer service from anyone ESP a doctor.
