Dr. Delfin Ibanez, MD

Shockingly unprepared, unaware, late and ignorant. Was sent to him after the practices other Dr. changed from adult to pediatric care. He arrived 45 minutes late for an evening appointment with no apology. He had not reviewed my medical records and yet was adamant in seeking to diagnose me within 10 minutes of meeting me, even though I had a diagnosis for nearly 20 years and was in fact tapering off medicine on the recommendation of my prior dr. from the same practice. He took no medical history and quoted studies that were disproven 20 years ago, to support his treatment with “more FDA approved medications”. After I told him I did not feel the need for more and in fact my prior Dr. at the same practice said I should taper off my medicine, he told me he would not treat me, leaving me with no Dr. Run from this Dr. as he is the worst kind of pill pushing, do as I say or I will not be your Dr., Dr. Absolutely atrocious. Next call is to the NJ BME, NJ board of medical examiners.

I have been receiving psychiatric care since I was around the age of seven. In all of my years, I failed to find a practitioner that truly understood the workings of the body and how certain medications can impact everyone differently; until I met Dr. Ibanez. His wait times can be lengthy but it’s worth it. He truly takes his time with his patients. It is not to be rude to his other patients but he truly takes his time with each patient which sometimes means running over an appointment time but he always makes it up within your session. He is remarkable. He didn't just hand me a prescription; we had a conversation, he listened, and I was engaged because he's exceptional at educating patients! Considering my medical history, he pinpointed the exact medication I likely needed from the start. It's been almost two years, and together, we're aiming to eventually be medication-free, as he customizes treatment for each patient's best interest. He's an extraordinary physician.

30 minutes late, appointment ran almost 40 minutes over, was not listened to and he ranted on and on without actually getting to know me or my issues.

An excellent physician, his clinical skills are exceptional and he is compassionate.
