Avoid this OB
I have been terrified to find a new OB because Dr. Dena was so terrible delivering my baby. I have medical trauma from her. I should have read the reviews & listened before going to her. She profiles people & judges them based on their circumstances and ran tests I never consented to that led to mistrust. She will brush off your concerns because her concerns are the only ones that matter. While her assistant is an angel, Dr. Dena has no idea what she’s doing. She had condescending things to say throughout my pregnancy. I was so thankful that Dr. Gieseke, her on call doctor ended up delivering my child. Dr. Dena complained of too many patients having babies at once and I believe she induced me early for her own convenience. She was on a power trip once she got back from her vacation and Dr. Giseke cleared us to go home, but Dena did not want us to go home. Then questioned why I was upset as if I wasn’t connecting with my baby, but I was upset she didn’t agree with us being discharged.

Please avoid this place. This office has no idea what is going on, and the doctor won't listen to you. She is very pushy and tries to force you into going to a specialist because she has no idea what she is doing.

I've been seeing Dr. Dena for 8+ years and put up with a lot of crap. But, I had other doctors on my care team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center who had a good handle on my care. I called in March, reported that I had spotting. She always told me to call right away if that happened. I was told, just call back when you stop bleeding. (after they put me on hold and checked with ?? Dr Dena or her nurse) I told the gal, it's not really bleeding, I would like to get in. NO, call back when you're not bleeding. This went on for several minutes. I finally gave up and a few weeks later I told my PA at RMCC, she scheduled me for an ultrasound right away. Then a biopsy with a gyn oncologist. Now I've had surgery, but I have an aggressive uterine cancer, wish we could have caught it sooner. Over the years, her care has gotten sloppy, her staff is sloppy, they lose paperwork and now, I will die sooner than later. If I could give a negative rating I would. thanks for nothing. Don't go here.

Where do I even begin? Worst experience and birthing of my first child. Throughout my prenatal care, she seemed very warm and understanding however I began to have pains in my stomach. Turns out it was my gallbladder and has emergency surgery following 6 months after birth. Appointments were constantly not written down and had to be rescheduled after arriving. I gave birth on a Sunday before she went on vacation. She told me if I questioned if I was in labor then I wasn't, but I was. She was expecting my labor to be very long, however 8 hours later I was ready to push and she had to rush in. After 3 attempts to push she slammed my lips down tearing me upwards. I had my son naturally with no epidural. It was so traumatic that the stitches didn't dissolve and had them removed at 5 weeks post. I still have stitches in my skin to this day. When my daughter was born, I wouldn't allow a single person to even touch me, needed stitches, same kind and they dissolved

I began seeing Dr. Dena about two years ago. While thorough, professional, and engaging, there were issues with office staffing that made getting appointments and assistance difficult. But the Lichfields listened and have done a drastic turn around. Office is calm, soothing, and professional. Dr. Dena's demeanor is always real, nurturing, professional, and personable. She takes the time to explain everything and gives you all of your options. Her medical Assistant Bree is a amazing as well

Front desk staff are extremely rude. Have called multiple times to get refills for medications I have been taking for years, and never got a call back. Was told I needed separate visits for every problem, and to get refills. If you have endless time to talk to snotty receptionist and go to unnecessary appointments, this is the place for you. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

Love Dr. Dena Lichfield, she is very thorough and understanding and very good at exploring the best avenues of finding the results. Her front office staffing are not the best representation of the Doctor. They are not the most professional people that I have came across
