I have been a patient at this office for over 15 years. I had all 3 of my children with these Doctors and before today I would have said they cared about their patients but now all that has changed. I took my daughter in for her first visit and when making the appointment told them it was for health concerns. Once they finally saw her two weeks later they took her back and told me I would be called back to be with her shortly. They never came to get me and she returns with a packet of birth control and a that's that. I asked to speak with Dr. Speyer as I just had a question about the medication and to request a blood draw and was told I had no authority to know anything about my daughters care because she was medically emancipated. She then wouldn't even have the decency to speak to me to explain but scoffed and laughed at me behind the door which I heard clearly as the office window was open. My Daughter told me she didn't even do an exam on her and just wrote her a script. Shame.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Speyer and Dr. Barrett. Both are kind, professional, caring and highly knowledgeable doctors- I say this not not only as a patient but also as a nurse who works along side them at the hospital. They always listen to my concerns/questions and I never feel pressured about any decisions having to do with myself or my babies. Dr. Speyer is a true angel. She delivered both of my babies... my first ones shoulder got stuck and she was able to maneuver her out smoothly and safely.. I’ll never forget it. To this day, I believe that if anyone else had been the doctor at my delivery, besides Speyer (or Barrett) my delivery may not have gone as well. I highly recommend both Barrett and Speyer!great docs and wonderful people.

Dr. Speyer understands that certain conditions, while not life threatening, can have a huge impact on quality of life. I went to three other doctors before seeing her. Everyone of them was dismissive of my issue. When I met with Dr. Speyer, she immediately understood how significantly the issue was affecting me and my family and devised a plan of action that fixed my problem and gave me my life back. I am forever grateful.

I have been seeing Dr. Speyer for 23 years. She is a great doctor, who listens and offers advice and options. I have been seen in the Reston and Sterling offices and have never had a bad experience setting up an appointment, never had an insurance or billing issue. Several friends have transferred to her practice and have had nothing but glowing reviews.

I do not recommend this office. Dr. Speyer come across nice but I can't say much more. Although Dr. Barrett is very smart and knowledgeable doctor, but they have a big problem going in that office - dishonest billing lady by name LYNN, who will lie and dance around with the answer. She will bully you with the payments, so please be AWARE, save yourself from that negative encounter. Because in the end, you dealing mostly with billing department and reception. Receptionists def better than Lynn.

I have been a patient of Dr. Speyer for approx. 14 years and have not had any problems until my last three experiences calling her office. I was just informed by her office manager that I am not able to speak to my own physician regarding my medications because she is too busy and doing more important things. I may not speak to her until an appointment August 2nd. I called her office four times today and was put on hold every single time. Whatever happened to patient care?

I lost my unborn son at 32 weeks. I am writing about Dr. Mandolesi, Speyer and Barrett. I'm not blaming them totally for my loss but I can't help to think maybe it could have been prevented. Maybe if they informed me better would my son be here today...
