Very compassionate
Last year, my mom had to have a very difficult surgery. Dr. Orr explained everything about what she had and what would probably happen. I have never met another doctor that took the time not only to talk to me but who also fought hard for her life. Because of his first surgery, we were able to spend A few more months with Mom. I will always be forever grateful for the extra time we had with her because of what he done for her. Dr. Orr, Thank You truly.

Lacks Knowledge; Poor Documentation
As an RN I can spot a medical professional that is out of his element. Dr. Orr seems to lack the knowledge necessary to call himself a 'gastroenterologist ' and after my experiences with him, I'm not sure that he is anything other than certified to perform colonoscopies and endoscopies. His response to most questions is 'I don't know ', which to his credit, is preferable to making something up, but that's about it. Follow up visit post-colonoscopy was a joke. He couldn't remember anything about the patient he was seeing (which he sees a lot of people so can't be expected to remember details of each individual case, but what was inexcusable is that there were no records or notes detailing procedure. He became defensive and argumentative when presented with the facts that he and the nurse had explained on the day of the scope. I feel like seeing him was a waste of my time and money since I can't trust his skill, observations or record keeping. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Rushed & Indifferent
After this MD completed two GI scopes due to a sudden GI issue I was given a surprising and shocking diagnosis. At the follow up appointment when I questioned about the prognosis and what I was to expect, his attitude was indifferent and his reply was 'I don't know', and he told me to go see a specialist. I was shocked and had a couple of questions such as diet and what to do until I could get into a specialist, but he was already quickly going out the door with his nurse following. The follow up visit with the diagnosis lasted less than 10 minutes.

Rushed and Indifferent
Friendly front desk staff, however the doctor was rushed and impatient. Following scopes, MD did not answer any of my questions about his opinion of my startling and new diagnosis. Simply referred to another MD and rushed out of room.
