Dr. Dennis Sager, MD

Dr. Sager is very thorough, knowledgeable, and approachable. He also intervenes for the patient to see a specialist promptly. I’ve been his patient for about 40 years and have always felt that he would take care of my needs. He is always available and returns calls promptly when he can’t talk in the present moment.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sagers' for about 25 years. I greatly value the amount of time he spends on my health. The annual exam is thorough, then he spends a lot of time discussing results. He is excellent at explaining medical information. Office visits are easy to schedule, same day if needed. He is an outstanding physician.

Dr. Sager has always been prompt in addressing my medical needs. He knows when to refer me to specialists and has helped find a specialist (neurologist) when none was readily available. He works well with specialists when appropriate. My wife and I are completely satisfied with the care we receive from him. He is great with follow-up and appreciate that he cares about us and our health.

Last visit was my annual wellness exam and the followup by Facetime. I've been a patient of Dr. Sager since the 1980s and this visit was great like all the others I've had with him. I have utmost confidence in his judgment. He's great.

Dr Sager always listens carefully to my health questions and concerns & takes me seriously. He never makes me feel rushed & takes whatever time is needed to properly diagnose & treat any health issue with which I am struggling. Words cannot adequately express how comforting it is to know I can count on Dr Sager to be there for me when I need medical advice or help. And I also know he will take the time to fully explain to me whatever I want to know about my medical condition, so I can feel less fearful of the unknown.I feel very fortunate to be Dr Sager's patient. He is worth his weight in gold!

Dr. Sager is a highly qualified doctor who is very interested in his patient's well-being. He spends plenty of time reviewing my case, answering my questions and asking pertinent questions. Afterwards, he will call after hours to personally give results and answer any additional questions I might have. When we travel, he will look up the places we go and decide what vaccinations or precautions should be taken. I feel he really takes a personal interest in our wellbeing, and applies his knowledge and experience to give us the best care possible.

In each visit Dr. Sager provides superb and thoughtful care regarding my overall health and the specific issues that arise.Dr. Sager, on a continuous basis, provides amazing research information on healthcare and medical issues in general. He was a stellar doctor during the Covid pandemic, and I could always allow his well researched recommendations, and best practices.He is responsive to my messages and telephone calls no matter the day or time of day, and I greatly appreciate that.

Dr. Sager met with me on video visit as I had tested positive for COVID. We walked through all aspects of what I needed to do and discussed the treatment options. We landed on a plan that worked well. That interaction is one of the many reasons I continue to trust Dr. Sager to help me navigate everything health related.

Dr. Sager is patient and thorough. I never feel rushed adn he takes the time need to listen, answer questions, and provide guidance. He always calls me, sometimes long after his office hours, with lab test and other results, even when he wasn't the ordering physician. When I had an emergency appendectomy he called me as soon as he was notified to make sure I was OK, which he certainly did not have to do. I really appreciate his attentiveness to my specific needs.

Dr. Sager is thorough and covers your health conditions carefully. He is very well informed on the latest medical findings and takes good care of his patients. He goes out of his way to be available during and after hours if necessary. He is personable and one of the best physicians practicing today.

Dr Sager is a great phtsician

Dr. Sager and his staff represent the very best in providing medical services. Dr. Sager is detailed-oriented, precise in providing information and in making recommendations, and is caring. He is always available to answer questions (day or night!) and to provide advice, including referrals for specific concerns. I am most fortunate that Dr. Sager is my physician.

We've moved all over the country for work, and therefore, have seen a number of primary care physicians. Dr. Sager is by far the best doctor we have ever had. Each time we have been transferred back to NOVA, we come back to him. He doesn't leave any stone unturned. He's practical, caring, listens, he's well connected & he confers w/colleagues regarding the care of his patients. Without a doubt, the very best!

Do not go to this doctor. Very unprofessional and not practical with care and recommendations. His follow up and explanations/reasoning is lacking.

Dr. Sagar's nurse is utterly unfortunate. She is brusque, combative, challenging, offensive, arrogant, and completely devoid of compassion. I presume she is devoid of self awareness as well given that she has no problem putting her ignorance on full display when answering a question. She would be better suited to a job where there is no human interaction whatsoever.

Dr Sager is an amazing Doctor. He always takes the time to listen to his patients. He has a wonderful personality and is a very caring Doctor. Sometimes there's a wait because of this but definitely worth it. His staff is also very helpful and kind.
