Dr. Sparks is rude, inattentive. He does not try to work with patients. He over books and spends very little time with his patients. He has very limited hours so its hard to see him at all. Ince inwas coughing blood and he was out of town i went to the er and they had to call him for permission to guve a chest xray...he asked to speak with me and then yelled at me to wait for him to get back into town. I said no it turned out i uad pneumonia. I later found out he was upset about me going to the er because he didnt get to bill for the chest xray. Dont go go to this dr.

Very bad experience. Cancelled my appointment without notice after I showed up at the office “we are not seeing patients that might be sick”. I understand the need to protect oneself, however for a doctor to refuse to see patients in this health care situation is preposterous. They are not getting my business and probably should not get yours.

Dr. Sparks is one of the best practitioners in the city. He diagnosed my NHL within hours. Nailed it. U of L bone marrow specialist said that maybe 1 in 10,000 general practitioners would have the knowledge to do that. He also said that if Dr. Sparks had not caught it, I would have died within 2-3 weeks. Enough said. 14 months later, I’m fit, healthy and very much alive thanks to Dr. Sparks. Thank you for saving my life!!!!!

Waiting 1 hour. Met with dr for 10 min. Was my first visit. Poor bedside manner. He didn’t really seem to care about me. Didn’t even shake my hand. Left abruptly.

One star only because no star is not an option. I needed a refill on my anxiety/depression/panic medication and Dr. D Sparks would not return calls or messages to the pharmacy. I went through horrific withdrawals which is dangerous both physically and mentally. If he wanted to evaluate me before refilling he should let that be known. But it's been 2 weeks and he has not returned my calls or calls from the pharmacy. This is so very dangerous......suicide dangerous.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sparks since I can remember going to the doctor - maybe 6 years old? I am 31 now and not only consider him a wonderful Doctor, but also a friend. He cares about all aspects of health and I highly recommend him if they are accepting new patients.

I've seen Dr Sparks for 2 years now mostly for my anxiety. I came to him physically sick on anxiety medicines that were controlling my life. His honesty is what ultimately helped me stop valium. He did what doctors before him couldn't. He treated my physical health, knew his limitations w/ my anxiety, encouraged mental health and told me the TRUTH. His inability to be my "friend" likely saved my life. He isn't your friend. He's your doctor. And he's a damn good one.

First time i took my son to see thi doctor, we waited for an half an hour in the waiting room. Meeting Dr. Sparks for the first time, he was different, he is strait forward and no bedside manner. His medical assistant is great. Yesterday I took my son to see the doctor and waited for an hour and 20 minutes, ridick! After my son was looked at, Sparks just walked out of the rooom, did not say bye, have a good day. Okay? Weirdo! Finding a new doctor. Hisfront office worker is about a ding bat!

Dr. Sparks made me feel like I was a freak when I sought his help/medical advice for depression and anxiety. He prescribed one medication. When i took it and experienced horrible side affects, I went back to the office to try another medication. He told me there was nothing he could do to help me, and told me I need to "learn to deal with" it. He told me I could see a therapist and that's all he could recommend. He also didn't follow up with me regarding a medical procedure he had done on me.

Dr Sparks is great. But Frankie the office manager, his wife is Rude. She sits behind a desk, acts like you are an intrusion. i Unpleasant experience. Keep on being sick, Not worth the visit. He would do a lot better without her in the office. Incompetent staff.

Dr. Sparks is not just intelligent which I expect of a man with his education, but he has a unusual attribute for an MD - he has a strategic and tactical approach to treatment which I appreciate and which saves a lot of time, effort, trial and error. Very thorough and professional. This office inspires a lot of confidence.
