Dr. Dennis Van Maren, DDS

Im currently in the process of getting Invisalign and needed a tooth extracted. I scheduled the appointment for the extraction and told them I needed it done the same day. The front office staff did not schedule the appropriate appointment. That should have been my 1st clue. I get called back and taken for X-rays. I told them I already had X-rays taken and they could get the results from next door at the orthodontist office. I was told that Dr Van Maren wanted his own set. Once Dr Van Maren came into the room he was not friendly and was actually rude. He looked at my teeth told me I needed the extraction, I then stated that’s what I was there to do, he told me I’d have to reschedule for another day. I was told that they had an opening in a few hours and I should be able to get it done same day but he refused to do it. Plus his office charged me for unnecessary X-rays that had already been taken. I drove 3 hrs round trip for this appointment for him to waste my time.

Made me a lower denture. Didn’t fit, too shallow. Went back 4 times for adjustments. Told them it was too shallow as it didn’t go low enough over my lower gum. Recommendation from Dr Van Maren…install snaps at an additional $2500. That was it! I’d just spent $1800 on one lower denture that wouldn’t stay where it belonged & he wanted another $2500 to install snaps instead of making me another lower denture that would fit. I’ve got about $5000 more work on my upper teeth & he’s darn sure NOT gonna do it! I definitely would not recommend him & will never go back.
