Dr. Derek Nguyen, MD

Wow. Dr. Nguyen called me twice to check the status of my mother against what we wanted for her- to make sure we knew and understood her condition, his recommendations, etc. Then when she was ready to be discharged he called again to help us make the best choice for her. Very pleased. Especially when I asked question after question and he patiently answered my concerns. I had had a previously poor opinion of RCH, as my mom was there for 6 days, and despite asking multiple times, I never got an update until they were ready to discharge her. However, with Dr. Nguyen as her PCP, we will now be going there. I trust him.

Dr Nguyen is thorough, compassionate and kind. He takes time to explain things/answer questions. His staff has been so helpful in expediting processes to get through tests and procedures. I would highly recommend him both as a primary care provider and for anyone with skin conditions. Wonderful!

Your phones are not working ! No message of hours ie: lunch hours, just receiving a beep tone! Fax failing as well!! Frustrating to say the least!! Unprofessional!

Dr. Nguyen has not called back after three days of asking for an appointment. I call his office and make a voicemail, I call the urgent care and they won’t contact him for me. I just would like him to examine my xrays and leg. How am I supposed to know what’s wrong with my leg and if I can’t do any or some physical activity if he never meets with me. Don’t see Dr. Nguyen, actually you can’t see Dr. Nguyen he’s never around.

He is great doctor but his front receptionist is so rude and very unprofessional. Had apt. there early signed in and listen to her go on and on Arizona and when other people came up to the counter she was very rude and told them she would be with them in a minute. She was so rude at one point to this elderly woman who had just came out from seeing him. I can't believe he allows her horrible customer service skills. If she doesn't like you then you won't get any appointments or any follow up

Dr. Nguyen is not only a great doctor but he is empathetic and takes the the time to answer all of your questions. Great follow up after surgery to ensure your health and comfort.
