A model for other doctors offices to follow. A courteous staff and the office was clean and comfortable. Dr Paul’s examination was thorough and never rushed. His sensitivity to both my wife and myself as his patients is greatly appreciated. His five star rating is obvious at every appointment.

Upon arriving at Dr Paul's office his staff could not have been better so so nice. I met with Dr Paul and he is so professional but so compassionate what a wonderful experience to know you have a surgeon like him taking care of you. We are very fortunate to have him in Vero Beach

Due to a freak accident, I ingested a one and a half inch nail. With my history of abdominal adhesions and scar tissue due to 5 previous abdominal surgeries (sub-total colon pull-through, j-pouch, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, & laparoscopic cholecystectomy) I knew Dr. Paul was the only surgeon I trusted with my surgery. He treated me professionally yet with compassion, respect, patience and kindness. His knowledge is extensive and his bedside manner both before surgery and post-op was comfortable and informative. Dr Paul is indeed one of Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital’s greatest assets.

Between my husband and I, we’ve seen more than our fair share of doctors in the past year; Dr Paul and team are by far some of the best. The office team is friendly and proactive (5 stars to them) and Dr. Paul is not only good at his job but also has personality and sense of humor so you don’t feel like you’re taking to a dry pillar. Highly recommended!

From the moment I met Dr. Paul in the emergency room, I knew I was in good hands. He has such vitality and confidence; he immediately explained everything, calmed my fears, and got the job done (surgery for a bowel obstruction), quickly and efficiently. I looked forward to seeing him each day during my recovery. He lifted my spirits. His office and staff were also a pleasure.

Always on time and listens to what you have to say and explains to you in layman terms. Any questions and he gives his time to give you the answer. He’s a gentleman and a very great Doctor!

I requested a general surgeon referral from my PCP, heard from Dr. Paul's office the next day and had an appointment within a few days. I was cared for by Dr. Paul when he was on call for the ED at CCIR Hospital. It’s always anxiety producing to be in an ED with severe pain, not knowing a soul who is caring for you. Once my problem was established, Dr. Paul was readily available to perform my surgery. His demeanor was calming and instilled confidence. I have had a couple minor complications, competently addressed. His office provides a welcoming atmosphere, both by the staff and by the design and decor. There are advantages to being cared for by a solo practitioner. The disadvantage is that there is not another provider available when he is in the OR. I would otherwise rate his practice with 5 stars.

Dr Paul spends time discussing all aspects of my complicated pain issues and always has new ideas of treatment. By far the best surgeon in my lifetime.I trust his diagnosis completely.

Dr Paul put me at ease during my first visit when we discussed potential surgery. He was upbeat and he spent as much time as I needed to understand the procedure. The surgery went well. Shortly after I was discharged from the hospital, I left a message at his office with a question, and my call was returned promptly. When I saw him following my surgery at the hospital as well as for my two week follow up, he went over the procedure, results, and what I can expect during recovery. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and is an exceptional surgeon. My husband has been a surgical patient of Dr. Paul (twice), and we both highly recommend him for his skill and bedside manner.

He explained everything before and after surgery. He removed about 10 inches of my colon. Everything went as he explained.

I met Dr. Paul for a hernia consult, resulting from Cancer surgery. Dr. Paul was very personable and easy to converse with. His experience is very extensive. He made me feel very comfortable. I plan on booking my surgery with Dr. Paul!
