I went to Dr Shia after an accident where I separated my AC joint in my left shoulder. He told me there was nothing wrong with my shoulder, but eventually decided to repair a slap tear and bicep tear. During the surgery he found my subscapularous tendon completely torn. In my post op appt he told me it was a small tear and I didn't need pt for it. He told me that in multiple visits and refused to give me a pt script. I left his office for another surgeon and discovered that the small tear was a complete tear. I'm still recovery and don't know what damage he may have caused with his improper pre and post surgery management. Find another surgeon.

X-ray tech was very pleasant, didn't feel rushed, and visit was pretty quick. Would recommend Dr Shia at Ct Orthopedics. Dr Shia answered any questions I had. Highly recommended him and Connecticut Orthopedics.

Dr. Shia presented me with my options for treatment, explaining their advantages, but he did not pressure me one way or the other as to which route I should take. I appreciated the time he spent analyzing my Xray with me which gave me a better understanding of my particular problem.
