I've seen Dr. Mohnot for several years after receiving care from 5 other neurologists. He is hands down the VERY BEST. He tracks progress, is willing to try new treatments, and seeks out alternate problems which may be the root of your condition to find a solution. He also spends as much time with you as YOU need. I've never felt rushed, pushed, or brushed off by Dr. Mohnot, his nurse Jennifer, or any of his front office staff.
If you're seeking exceptional care, he is the person to see!

I had NO Migraine symptoms yesterday! First time in EIGHT YEARS!!! Had 2nd dose of Aimovig- 140 mg and started Metoprolol ER last week (blood pressure is 118/81 and holding stable). There was even a thunderstorm late afternoon. I can hardly believe it. Dr. Mohnot never gave up on me. We always had something to try. Thank you God and New Orleans Headache and Neurology Clinic!
Update: Down to 7 migraines per month. Great improvement! Life is getting better and better!!

Dr. Mohnot saw my son for intractable epilepsy. He weaned him off Klonopin and got him in with a regional epileptologist. My son has been seizure free for 8 months thanks to Dr. Mohnot and his knowledge of local specialists.
Also, it was nice to have a doctor that values our time. Call before your appointment and they will tell you if he is running behind and what time to arrive. We never waited more than 20 minutes to see him! Great staff, exceptional doctor!

I highly recommend Dr Mohnot to those patients experiencing headaches that are not controlled by current treatments. He will work tirelessly to bring his patients relief. Dr Mohnot is exceptionally thorough in his examinations and at every appointment he wants detailed feedback on the efficacy of treatment.
I recommend calling before your scheduled appointment time to limit actual wait time in clinic. Since he is so thorough in his examinations, he sometimes runs late, especially when seeing newer patients who may require significant face time.

Really listens, can and will help with most extreme cases. Spends extra time to ensure complete understanding and course of action determined. Call before appt time, as frequently runs behind schedule due to taking necessary time with patients. Amazingly efficient office staff, can handle any insurance issues timely and efficiently. Strongly recommend this provider and office.

I was having many bad headaches monthly. Finally went to see Dr Mohnot after he was recommended and helped my mother in law. After 2 years. I may have one headache every 6 months. He is very thorough and cares about the needs of his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Mohnot.

After living with headaches for years, I finally took the advice of my ENT, my sister and a friend to go see Dr. Mohnot. I lived with daily headaches, but with Dr. Mohnot's help, we found a medication that is helping me. My headaches days have decreased and I was finally able to enjoy a weekend instead of being laid up with a headache. I am so glad I finally took the advice to go see Dr. Mohnot, life is getting good again!

I can not say enough about Dr. Mohnot. He's a very Passionate Neurologist, and won't give up until he finds a solution to my ailments. I travel from Florida to see him because of his knowledge, dedication and concerns for my wellbeing. I haven't been able to find that in any other Neurologist. The ladies on his staff are Wonderful! If I have any questions that need to be answered, I can email or call, and they're always prompt in their response. Thank you Dr. Mohnot and staff!

I have been to many neurologists for my chronic migraines, which I have had since 2001. I have been to Mayo and several neurologists in Houston. I travel from Houston to see Dr. Mohnot. He has methodically taken records of my migraines, triggers, and medications that have been successful and unsuccessful. I have recommended several family members to him. He spends a lot of time with each patient. The office recommends calling the office before your appt. to see how long he may be delayed.

I have been made to wait past my appointment time every visit, this past one was 1 hr, 10 minutes behind schedule.
The Dr himself does not listen to what you have to say, and instead hears what he wants to hear. I was asked "How are your headaches?" at every visit, yet never had headaches nor reported them as a symptom. He was also unable to pick up an abnormality on an MRI that 2 others doctors saw.
Finally, he spends minimal time with patients and does not clearly explain what's going on.

Dr. Mohnot has been treating my migraines for almost ten years. He never gives up, listens to my concerns, fits me in when I am having an attack, and is one of the most thorough doctors I've ever been to. He frequently runs late with appointments, so I recommend calling ahead to see if you need to come in later than scheduled.

Dr. Mohnot was a referal and I'm extremely grateful for the visit.
I've been experiencing extreme pain and numness so I demanded to see a neurological specialist and Dr. Mohnot was refered.
On approximately July 23, 1016 was my first visit on today August 24, 2016, with the additional proper medical evaluation and care 10 months later I know it was the right decision to be sent to Dr. Mohnot for a more thorough evaluation.
