Arrogant, condescending, rude
Constantly pushed me to do IVF even though I had no reason to do so. Told me “I guess it depends on how much you want a baby then” when I said it wasn’t an option for us. Terrible thing to say to someone.

Pass on this doctor
First, there addresses for this practice and had I known this I could have found the reviews prior to signing up as a patient. So note that S. Clinton Rochester and Pittsford-Victor Rd, Pittsford are for the same practice. Now, based on my experience with Dr. Edgar I cannot recommend her as a doctor treating menopausal and post menopausal women. The last straw was a recent mammogram that received no follow-up from anyone at this office. Where's Dr. Edgar to review the letter and refer me to an additional procedure??? This wasn't the first time either. I called the doctor's office the first time I received a letter in the mail from the imaging center and asked why someone - anyone - from the practice didn't call me with results and recommendations for the next step? The person answering the phone could have no excuse. None. My last visit with Dr. Edgar was one of two of the worst I've ever had with a gynecologist in my life and I've been seen all over the US and abroad. The

Dr. Edgar is really an awful doctor. Terrible bedside manner. She is critical and judgemental. She doesn't listen. After her nurse confirmed my allergies, Dr. Edgar used the stuff I was allergic to on my cervix before a procedure! I left even routine pap smears on the verge of tears because she was so rude and critical, and refused to listen to my concerns about legitimate women's health issues. Avoid her at all costs.

I've been seeing Dr. Edgar for about two years now and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is one of my favorite doctors at the practice. She is caring. She explains everything very well. She SITS DOWN AND CHECKS ON YOU and your yearly. I never feel dismissed. She delivered my son. She's given me a few paps ??. She's amazing, gentle and not forceful.

Dr. Edgar is arrogant, judgmental, and dismissive of any concerns that you as a patient dare to discuss with her. I have repeatedly attempted to discuss menstrual and skin concerns with her over the course of several annual appointments, and every time, it's like I'm an entirely new patient -- she's made no notes and has made no attempts to further research any of my concerns. However, she always has the time to berate you at length for not going to the gym for an hour every day! (There's a plague out there, Dianne!)

I came to her with severe mental and physical health symptoms caused by my menstrual cycle. Put me on a combination pill despite my history of aura migraine. When she tried to stop my period with the pill that made me depressed, I bled for 2 months straight, full period. I came into her office sobbing and her NP refused to take me off the pill until I'd been on it for 3 months. Neither her nor her nurse practitioner had any empathy for me. I got an emergency appointment with a different clinic and found that my pre-existing hypotension caused by low blood volume was massively worsened by the endless bleeding. Got on a high dose progesterone-only pill and I'm doing a lot better. Do not recommend to anyone.

I was lectured and “baby shamed” after asking about an IUD at 31. Being shamed and guilted into having a baby is unacceptable and irresponsible. Ladies who are unsure if you want to have children, or heaven forbid, not want children, beware. Being married does not mean you are required to have babies and for a doctor to say these things to a patient is just unacceptable. I definitely will not be returning.

Dr Edgar is very arrogant and lacks basic compassion. Suffering from postpartum depression? She’ll brush it off and tell you “join a moms group.” Have a reoccurring issue? Be prepared to come into the office every time because “woman are wrong 50% of the time.” Think she’ll call in the prescription directly following the visit so you can start feeling better? No, you’ll have to wait in discomfort, for the lab to confirm what you already know. And I assure you, most woman your age don’t have IUDs
