Dr. Dikshya Hamal, MD

Dr. Hamal is a very patient and caring provider. She can be firm when necessary, but I have found her to be the least judgmental and most supportive primary care physician I have ever seen. Her bedside manner is excellent and you can tell that she really cares about her patients. She is also very bright and competent. She is willing to explain things and has helped me understand my condition much more than I did before, which has also helped with my treatment compliance.

She was very friendly during the first visit. However, the second visit was very rude. Would not even look at the areas I mentioned. I returned a third time with my husband escorting and she was still very rude.

I have had an amazing experience with Dr. Hamal. She listened to all of my complaints and gave me options for treatment. She helps me feel like we are making a shared decision. Would highly recommend her to anyone in the Fayetteville/Raeford area! The clinic also was clean, had short wait times, and was able to work me in quickly. The staff are friendly and helped me to feel safe and comfortable. Best experience in primary care in a long time.

I am a healthy 29 year old female with no known health conditions other than having asthma as a small child. I haven't had an asthma attack in 25 years. I went in having pains in my chest/lungs when breathing. No problem catching my breath, it just hurt to breathe. I've been a runner for 15 years and have never had an issue with pain during breathing until a couple days ago. Dr Hamal tells me she thinks it's "exercise induced asthma" and writes me a prescription for pain medication. I am now sitting in an urgent care facility waiting to be seen by someone who might actually listen. The sad part is, the nurse and I both agreed that I most likely have some inflammation of the lungs. Possible pleurisy. I think the nurses here are more qualified than the doctor. Maybe she can take some tips from them? I'm now looking for a different doctor.
