If there was an option for zero stars, that would have been the rating. Dr. Hunter was dismissive, rude and essentially shamed me during my visit. Her complete lack of tact, care, and basic listening skills were absolutely shocking. Avoid this terrible doctor at all costs.

Outstanding
Dr. Hunter was attentive and timely. She did a great job of listening to me and making me feel included in shared decision making when it came to my treatment plan. I am thrilled to start this journey and am glad I met her. I already feel as if I have new confidence to face the world.

Longtime patient.
I have been a patient for years. I go to a doctor for a diagnosis not looking for a friend. Doctors are allowed so little time these days with insurance limitations. I personally want the Doc spending their time looking at my issues and not BS me like they are my buddy. Let your friendly doc get the wrong chart on the door and see if he remembers your name. They have a thousand different patients. We hold normal conversations as she works on me. She is not cut crazy like some dermatologist are which I prefer. She has a good personality but more importantly SHE IS A GREAT Doc. and that’s why I go there. I don’t expect a Kumbaya moment. I have no scars from two stitched places on my face over last 35 yrs. Different strokes for different folks.

Couldn't get receptionist to answer telephone.
Was on hold for over ten minutes and the receptionist never answered. The recording kept saying the call would be received in the order received.

It was a terrible visit. After waiting over an hour, I was seen and charged $140. All the dr did was touch my arm and refuse to remove my lipomas, which is the reason for my visit.

BEWARE: It’s been years since my “checkup” where she unexpectedly did an overwhelming number of biopsies on my face, one of which was so deep that I still have the concave scar. Even though they were all benign, had she given me the option, I would have gone to a plastic surgeon rather than a life long cheek scar.

so disappointed – Jun 19, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Hunter?
Not pleased. I'm a nurse, don't really care about a doctors personality as long as they can treat me like a human being. Dr. Grice did not. I had broken out with psoriasis and skin was splitting and bleeding all the time. She gave me a steroid cream (cost $300/mo out of pocket) which did not work. Went back a few months later with concerns about staying on a steroid cream for a long period of time and was told there was nothing else she could do for me. My hands had split skin and bled most of the time. I had to wear gloves day and night, went through hundreds of bandaids as well. I saw another dermatologist who was able to get me on a "pill" and a program to help me pay for the medication. The psoriasis has almost completely cleared up within a month.

Dr Grice Hunter is a seriously experienced dermatologist that excels in all forms of skin issues. I have seen her for years and wouldn’t use anyone else. My father used another dermatologist in this city and his ear cancer was never corrected. Dr Hunter will get to the bottom of your issue and solve it.

I have much respect for Dr. Grice and her team. She is very thorough and knows what she is doing. I've read some of the reviews complaining that she doesn't spend much time and is abrupt. If you want to be pampered and catered to then go to a spa. I went there after my GP removed a wort that turned out to be cancerous. I went to her for further examination. If you want a good dermatologist and kind start then whole heartedly suggest her. Her staff followed thru with my GP and kept me up to date

This lady is abrupt and not friendly or compassionate in the least. Even the doctor who referred me to her stated that she was short on personality. She only talks with her assistant pretty much, the patient is ignored for the most part. I felt like a task to get checked off on her list, for certain. Moved my records elsewhere.

Dr Grice (now Dr Hunter) was very thorough and detailed. I've seen other dermatologists before but she was finding things wrong others never even examined. She was concerned about a spot on my neck that I never even noticed. After the biopsy it turned out to be cancer. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Hunter was very cold, rude, and impatient. She spent all of 3-4 minutes in the room and acted like my questions were bothering her. She honestly seemed like she hated her job and would rather have been anywhere but there. The waiting room is a complete dump! I would NEVER recommend her or this office.

Went to have a consultation and biopsy. First visit she was not friendly and didn't talk to me or explain the biopsy procedure or care of biopsy site. Bed side manner terrible. Two days after biopsy I called after hours to report concerns about biopsy site never got a return call. When I went for follow-up to get results she can in the room never spoke, told me the results and when I asked her to explain the diagnosed condition her only response was it's a skin disorder and just take the meds.

Poor bedside manner. On first/only visit she came in lecturing(no introduction/assessment) me on why I was wrong for having reservations on using a certain topical medication on my 4 year old. She didn't speak to my daughter, which created an uncomfortable environment. I actually lost my cool with her with the level of rudeness from 1. No introduction 2. Lecturing 3. Lack of concern. My daughter said she never wanted to see her again and this woman never touched her. Bedside manner is important.
