DISAPPOINTMENT: saw for retinal floaters, flashes, established patient for years, called office to see him over seeing more floaters, flashes as I was told by him and my regular eye Dr to do if saw more of them to call, be seen as soon as possible. I called office, His staff demanded a referral which they HAD on file. I explained WHY I needed to see him, was refused, Called my eye Dr whom said I should not have to have one since I was a established patient, yet I could not get in, so called my reg eye Dr whom told me to be nice and walk IN. I did, was seen by him, all OK UNTIL I told him his office staff wanted referral, I had to walk in, HE became RUDE belittled me saying he did me a favor by seeing me, I was taking up his time and patients time, that HE does NOT do walk ins !!, went on for 10 minutes belittling me. HIS STAFF needed the harsh words not me. No other way to be seen. Did not walk in for pleasure. I waited my turn, I needed checked as told, I am his patient also.

Unprofessional
I typically do not write reviews, but Dr. Bahl was very unprofessional. During my mother's post-exam consult, her being hard of hearing offended him. His exact words, "How am I supposed to communicate with her? I am not going to stand here and shout for five minutes." Some doctors are known for poor bedside manner, and perhaps Dr. Bahl is one of these, or perhaps he was having a bad day. Neither of these options excuse the belittling of an elderly patient due to a disability.

Superior, compassionate, care.
I’ve been under the care of Dr. Bahl for more than 10 years for Chronic, non infectious, idiopathic Uvitis. He is caring and patient and he has worked tirelessly to keep my condition under control. He takes extra steps to make sure he sees me in Las Cruces so I don’t have to travel to El Paso to his main office. He has been a God send to. I highly recommend Dr Danish Bahl, without reservation.

My mother has an established relationship with this Dr. Bahl, so when he acted in such a rude manner toward me, I certainly had to keep my cool because my mother was present. But he made my mother very nervous with his tone toward me. I am her daughter and live out of town so I took her to this appointment (my siblings often handle). Last time for me and after sharing my experience with the family we'll start looking for another doctor.
