Dr. Divyanjali Gopalan, MD

I switched over to Dr. Gopalan three years back as the primary care physician for my daughter. We are very comfortable to talk with her and ask questions. She is listens to the concerns, examines and explains her diagnosis and reason/rationale. Most of her diagnosis are spot on. A quality physician!!

I feel like she doesn't listen to me as a parent. She doesn't smile or speak to my son directly. I wish she would explain to my 5 year old his body a little bit to help him inderstand. She made a follow up to check his eyes, and then never did check his eyes. Impersonal.

Dr. Gopalan is thorough and thoughtful. She takes the time and care to really get to know your child. She goes above and beyond as a doctor.

She was pushy, argumentative, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I am 38 weeks pregnant and asked to schedule my 3yr old's vaccines for after my baby is born, because they were very stressful the last time. She told me no and tried to force me to sign a refusal paper saying I refused his vaccines when I simply wanted to schedule them 2 weeks after my due date. I scheduled them anyways, and she had the office call to try to reschedule my appt. to see her instead. Sneaky and unprofessional.

First, she told me my newborn was eating too much, and gaining too much weight, so to cut her nursing time back. I did what she told me, thinking she knows what she's talking about. Went back about a week later to check her weight again, she hadn't gained any weight so she told me I wasn't feeding her enough and had to start supplementing with formula...not an option for me. Went with my gut and went back to nursing as long and often as my daughter wanted, and switched Drs and my baby is healthy
